Welcome to our tiny but mighty lakefront retreat—just like its owner, this cozy cottage may be small in stature, but it’s big on charm, heart, and hospitality. Nestled peacefully on the shores of the lake, it’s the perfect escape for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to reconnect with nature—or just unwind in a space that feels like a warm hug.
Whether you’re kayaking at sunrise, roasting marshmallows under the stars, or sipping coffee as the sun glistens off the water, this delightful cottage offers everything you need to relax, recharge, and make memories.
The Space
Step into a snug and thoughtfully designed cottage, making the most of every inch.
Living Room: Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace or enjoy a movie night on the 42” TV with Fire Stick access. The couch pulls out to a comfy queen-size bed for extra guests.
Dining: Tucked beneath a window with lake views—a sweet spot for meals, puzzles, or morning coffee.
Kitchen: Fully stocked with an oven, microwave, air fryer, crock pot, Keurig and standard coffee pot, fridge, dishes, and utensils.
Bedroom: Features a queen bed with soft linens and sweet dreams.
Sunroom: With a full-size pullout couch, vintage barn door for privacy, and unbeatable views—this is the room everyone fights over.
Laundry Room: Equipped with full size washer and dryer, extra sheets, pillows, towels, a pack-and-play (with sheets and a pillow), toddler dishes, and a blow-up twin mattress.
Deck: Built in seating and chairs with panoramic lake views. A gas grill with a portable table fits like a glove into the space to make for lakeside dining or impromptu picnic’s comfortable and yummy.
Bathroom: Clean and efficient, with a stand-up shower (no tub). Beach and bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash included.
The Outdoors
Loon Lake – This 421 acre, 128 feet deep spring fed lake is known for it’s Loons and natural beauty. It is a one of the most coveted lakes in the area. With its quiet waters, all sports status, good fishing, and clear, clean water for swimming, everyone falls in love with Loon Lake.
Lake side- There are concrete steps with a sturdy handrail leading to the waterfront, where you will find a swim platform/raft, kayaks, kid-friendly water toys, and a non-slip dock to jump off of or fish from, a ladder to climb back up and plenty of space to tie up your boat.
Roadside- A spacious flat area with a fire pit and chairs for evening bonfires. Firewood is stocked under the blue tarp—just bring the s’mores. Also, enough room for outdoor games and plenty of parking.
The cottage is five minutes from the quaint town of Hale. You can find gas, groceries, pizza, ice cream and great spots for browsing antiques - please see our guide once booked for our recommendations or reach out and inquire about any activities!
West Branch, East Tawas and Lake Huron are within 30 minutes.
