This is a quiet, peaceful property. The host was good about letting us know anything that was going on that might affect our stay. The nearby town has some shopping and restaurants, but many of the restaurants had reduced hours or were only open several days a week and due to their size and the small local population had long waits for their meals. The food was very good. No fast food restaurants. We went because of it's proximity to the Great Sand Dunes National Park; however, while the property is indeed close to boundary of the park, it is on the backside and the main entrance to the dunes and other major attractions of the park are over an hour's drive away. That being said, I don't think we could have found anything as nice much closer. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this property.
