This tranquil retreat offers a peaceful escape, beautiful seasonal lake views and easy walk to the lake and Turkey Creek Boat Ramp. Enjoy the heating and AC amenities, along with a clean bathroom and fully equipped kitchen for your convenience. Experience the Magic of Lake Cumberland and Daniel Boone National Forest in our Comfortable, Get Away Cottage!
While the lake is easily accessible, there are also other fun Adventures to explore while visiting Daniel Boone National Forest in McCreary County. Popular Hiking Trails, Cumberland Falls (horseback riding and hiking here), Lick Creek Falls, Yahoo Falls - all in McCreary County, home to the famous Natural Arch featured in magazines and only 7 miles from the cottage. It’s truly an outdoor paradise!
After a day of adventure, come back to a beautiful place to relax - both indoor and outdoor living areas. Huge wrap around deck with a seasonal view of the lake. Walk around the corner and you have full access to Turkey Creek Boat Ramp, if you want to launch a boat, in addition to fishing and swimming.
Check out the Big South Fork Scenic Railway for an unforgettable train ride and Blue Heron Mine Tour.

My husband and I decided to retire in beautiful McCreary County, KY after 30 years in the business world for him and 30 years of teaching for me. We love the outdoors… no better playground! We love trail riding with our 5 horses, boating, hiking, SxS riding, and all things outdoors. We are living life to the fullest and hoping others can do the same, through our rentals in the area!

The Cumberland Lake Cottage is especially special to us! We love the lake access and all the other outdoor adventures this location has to offer. It’s close to hiking and SxS trails. The tranquil setting in the woods makes a great place to relax and recharge. Seasonal views of the lake from the deck are spectacular! Love the wrap around deck and outdoor living space. The cottage itself is bright, cheerful, and comfortable. What a great place to just kick back and enjoy!!

In addition to that, the wrap around deck, firepit, and outdoor living is a treat for those that love the outdoors. Inside, the cottage is clean, comfortable, bright and airy.
