We ran into issues with running water (couldn’t flush the toilet on the second night) and couldn’t take warm showers as the hot water boiler ran out within 5 minutes. The host’s contact information/phone number provided could not be reached and the host did not reply to our messages on the platform over the entire stay. The property manager only communicated in handwritten notes in Turkish which we had to translate manually. We were given the first floor unit rather than the third floor unit as pictured, which was not a huge deal as we were out touring the city for the majority of the day. Although we later saw that the third floor water heater is twice the size of ours

The location is a plus—about a 20-minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar, which made sightseeing easy. However, there were several issues. I did not receive check-in instructions before arrival, despite messaging the host the day before. When I arrived, I had to wait outside with my luggage and repeatedly message to get the building code. There was also confusion about the unit. The listing said third floor, but I was directed to the second. When I checked the third floor, it had not been cleaned (dirty dishes and used sheets), so I stayed on the second floor.Communication was poor throughout my stay. After check-in, the host stopped responding to questions about basic things like hot water, heating (the room was cold), and plumbing. He also tried to move communication to WhatsApp instead of the Vrbo app.Additionally, there appeared to be black mold in the bathroom, which is concerning.Overall, while the location is convenient, the lack of communication, check-in issues, and cleanliness concerns made this a frustrating stay.

When I arrived in the dark, I had no number on the building. My taxi man and the landlord in the hotel , across the street, rang the phone number that was in the Bookabach app. Ozgur, the host, was too busy wanting to watch the Eurovision final. So in about 30 mins he electronically changed the code so I could get in.I kept on txting him saying that the tv still wasnt working as the Wi-Fi was kicking in and out……more out than in!! I txted him 7 times but no reply. I was there for 9 days and nobody came to clean. Beware of this “cowboy”. He just wants the money.
