Not as was Expected
Having stayed at Puertarena last year with amazing accommodations, we were expecting a similar experience. This year's condo did not meet this expectation and was disappointing for several reasons. The condo was sparsely furnished with very low end furniture, some of which was broken or was falling apart. When we notified the property manager, they did bring two folding chairs to replace the broken patio chair. They did not address that the rest of the patio furniture was in very poor shape. The property manager also brought a toaster oven when we asked for a toaster. The property manager never did address the fact that the condo was listed with a dryer - which there was no dryer. They did not address the fact that the drying rack was destroyed and that we held it together with shoe laces. Also it should be noted that the mattress in the second bedroom needs replacing. We, as travellers, do not ask a lot, but we do ask that the property reflect the ad, the rental fee and that the furniture be useable. The Puertarena complex is an incredible complex, the condo was not.
