Alamar is a wonderful place to stay. The amenities such as pools, beach club, private parking stall, and gym are amazing. The security guys are all very friendly and the grounds are well maintained. Our host was very quick to respond to issues we had with the unit. The beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked, lots of towels available, laundry good but need a clothes rack. The unit needs some TLC but overall comfortable stay.

Quiet getaway

This is a beautiful quiet getaway spot. Need time to decompress, nice people and welcoming staff. The only downside is that you need a vehicle. Golf cart is great just for the area.

Best view of the bay

Beautiful condo with amazing views. Very comfortable and well set up. Great pools and bonus beach club. Loved the quiet town which was still close to Bucerias and PV. Easy to obtain shrimp and fish at the old marina and close to many supermarkets. Only caution is the huge jump in price for food and drinks these past two years. Expect to pay equal or more to Canadian prices unless going to local small stores or obscure restaurants.

Great Location

We loved staying at this place because it has a beautiful view of the Ocean,and access to the Alamar club. very well equipped and with Tom we had great communication the only thing I didn’t like is that the place was not clean as I expected, covers from sofas and chairs need to be changed because they’re stained and bathrooms need more cleaning. Except for these things We loved our stay.

Fantastic View of Banderas Bay

The Alamar Condo was perfect for our needs. Situated just outside if La Cruz, the condo was conveniently located to restaurants, the marina and for access to the bay. The view from the 9th floor was fantastic and the floor to ceiling windows made the condo seem even bigger than it was. Tom was very prompt on his replies to emails and made the check in process easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely view.

We were welcomed to the condo by a magnificent view of the bay. It was relaxing to watch the many boats passing during our stay. We also had a beautiful bouquet of flowers and treats upon arrival. The condo was a great size for the two of us and our little Bichon. The pool is beautiful, nice and warm. The staff is so friendly and helps in any way they can. The grounds are very well maintained. I especially enjoyed walking through the property with my dog in the early morning hours.

Amazing property and host!

We had a great experience at this property. Everything was as expected and Tom was a great host. He was available to answer questions and checked in with us throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

New Years 2018

We very much enjoyed the quiet and relaxing time at Alamar on the 9th floor of the Borneo building. Spectacular views to watch the New Years Eve fireworks display around the entire Bay of Banderas. Condo was well equiped from the kitchen to the dining & livingroom, and great deck which is very high up. Very relaxing infinity pool up by the condo and a Beach Club just a 10 minute walk down the hill with a small beach and great pool and food & beverage palapa.

Great vacation ...!

Amazing place...! The pictures didn’t do justice of the views ! Two great pools, very well looked after trees and gardens! La Cruz has a fantastic art market on Sunday at the Marina, nice walk from the condo thru the beach!! Tom replied to my “numerous” emails very promptly ! We’re coming back next year!!

GREAT PLACE FOR A FAMILY VACATION

The condo has a great view, overlooking the mountains and the the great beach and banderas bay. Accomodations are comfortable and in great shape, tidy, and in the condo you can find everything you might need. Tom is a great host, and had everything settle for a perfect stay, even received us upon arrival with great tropical flowers and chocolates. Looking forward to be back again.

and we came back

Everything was just as we remembered, from the amazing views to the amenities. The landlord is very quick to respond to emails to answer any questions. We really didn't have any problems with the condo, just general questions on general things. There was a shuttle to the Beach Club pool, but that has ended. It is a very steep walk up the hill, so suitable only for the fit unless you have the use of a car. We would definitely stay here again. As usual, the nearby restaurants are excellent. We did two tours, Rhythms of the Night and Chica Locca tour to the Marietas and would recommend them highly. Local buses are very handy, run often and very inexpensive. great way to get around.

A perfect Fit

This rental was the best we have had in Mexico to date. My only comment is where do you sleep 6? The vacation was everything we expected, and more, right from walking in the door to see fresh flowers and cold drinks in the fridge, to a spotless clean condo. We received a warm welcome from the owner who happened to be in residence in the building at the time. He replied immediately to emails about anything and everything, including where we might find a medical clinic. the microwave quit on us, and was replaced the same day. Thank you. We will be returning next January and will be bringing a few items with us from home. This is not because we expect to find them in a rental condo, but to make our lives just a little easier! I am too short to reach the cupboards, for instance, so a little step stool is in order. We are very happy to have the shuttle available for the uphill climb. We hope it will be kept up. As usual, the grounds are immaculate and maintained by very friendly workers. We love to practice our Spanish with them. We are sad to be leaving such a wonderful place but happy to be thinking already about coming back next January.

run down and spiders

checked in for 2months. 1st night got 8 spider bites. found nest under bed. kitchen smelled bad for 2 days and I found the garbage dispose did not work and was full of old food. called manager and was told she forgot to tell me. I went to home depot and bought new one and installed. Water came into living room from ceiling and white paint,water, ran down the windows. bathroom pipes broke in wall and wall was soaked and other batroom large amount of water on floor. air condictioners are very old and make too much noise. Hard to sleep. This condo is not maintained. Checked out after 15 days. Owner would not refund my money. Be very careful here.

We selected the Alamar resort for three reasons--location, location, location. We have been vacationing and working in Mexico for over 20 years and decided to purchase at Alamar because of its close proximity to the new world-class Marina Riviera Nayarit, the great reputation of the builders (Grupo Real del Mar) and the town's safety and proximity to both Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita. Purchasing north of Puerto Vallarta gave us less traffic congestion and more of the 'peace and quiet' of Mexico that we were looking for. With our charter boat located in the new marina, we couldn't imagine being anywhere else. What really made up our minds are the incredible views we enjoy from the property on which the Alamar Resort is located and the extra amenities on site. Whether inside our outside, we love what we see and do here!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Grupo Real del Mar did a terrific job when they designed and built the Alamar Resort. The quality of the construction in excellent, all water is filtered, the property has 24 hour security and we never worry when we are staying in our unit or traveling throughout the quaint town of La Cruz. Having two choices for swimming is terrific--sometimes we walk out our back door to the very convenient Jungle Club pool which we also enjoy lighted at night or we can also choose to head to the Beach Club and have the whole place to ourselves! What could be better? We have found the reception/security staff at Alamar to be friendly, helpful and courteous. This property is completely safe, secure and gorgeous!
