Great location in Key west Truman annex

Property was perfect for me and my spouse. Second bedroom was two twin beds that would be okay for children. Bathroom had two sinks which was nice. Well stocked kitchen. We spent most of our time exploring the area and the condo was in a great convenient area. Only small downside was dealing with the keys, would rather have had a keypad. But not that big of an issue, just my preference as key was a little finicky.

Girls Trip 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriend and I stayed in About Time in Key West and Loved it!! The location was perfect as we rented bikes and it had a bike rack close by. We could walk to the nightlife right on Duval St or ride our bikes anywhere we chose to during the day. The property was clean and well maintained, located on the end with a cute little patio out the back. There were plenty of towels to use for the pool or beach and for the shower as well. We would definitely consider staying her again.

It was "about time" we had a good vacation

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was nice and roomy. The kitchen had sufficient appliances for heating up leftovers and/or if we wanted to make a meal. Everyone was friendly. We met lots of nice people at the pool. It was hot, so we were in the pool a lot and enjoyed it immensely.

About time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the large, shady deck at this condo. It is comfortably furnished, has a roomy bathroom with 2 sinks, and was impeccably clean. We actually have this same condo reserved in Feb ‘22, and might bring some kind of white noise machine as this condo is right on the bus route. Street noise can interfere with a good nights sleep.

Frequent Guest

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent visit and have stayed in this condo several times over 10 years. The location is nice - very quiet, lots of light and near all the local activity. It has some new furniture, but for the most part everything has been there for quite some time and appears tired. This includes the rugs and bedding. The televisions are quite old and the reception was horrible. The maintenance staff (Danny) is very helpful. I would probably rate the stay a 5 star if the condo furnishings were updated.

About Time/Truman Annex

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly had a great experience with Compass and were pleased with the condo! It was comfortable, and the kitchen/bathroom were spacious! Our only minor complaint about the unit is that the one bed is right agains the somewhat loud AC unit of the condo.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit had the best AC in town! We also noted that it seemed like everything we needed was there tucked away - it's very well stocked - and felt like our very own family beach house.

Not the best.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in at least 10 different units in the Truman annex, many times booking with Compass. Compass is a 1st rate company. Here comes the but! This unit I cannot recommend. The layout is good but the furniture and the finishes needs a major update. I hope the owner takes theses comments to heart and makes this place a great choice for up coming clients.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Got into town before 1, but rental was ready. This unit, tucked into the corner of Shipyard, had an exit to Angela street, which avoided having to go to Suthard. Very nice. Non HD Cable only demerit.

Good Value but needs some maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great, easy walk to Duval St.Unit needed some general repairs, shower nozzle leaks, sink drain corroded, dishwasher door is iffy. Towels were worn, upholstery could have used a cleaning.Big problem was that the keys provided didn't open the unit when we first arrived. Door lock is very finicky and was hard to open even after practice.Property management 24-hour emergency phone number went unanswered. Not cool when you can't get into the unit because the keys don't work.

Delightful Time in Key West

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really loved our time in the condo at the Shipyard. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for a Key West vacation. There was a little confusion about the check-in and getting the right combination in order to lock up when we left, but we straightened that out. My only real complaint is that we weren't allowed to use our allotted parking space because of our wooden kayak on top of the car. If the kayak were an eyesore or if it protruded out beyond the parking space the rule would make more sense, but it is a beautiful, handmade kayak contained on top of the car, and people who see it admire it and ask about it. As a result, we had to scout around for a parking place in some of the sketchier areas of town and hope that car and boat would be okay. That's the only reason I'm rating it a 4 instead of 5 - the condo itself was great.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful winter escape to Key West. We have stayed in Truman Annex many times and always been pleased. This trip was no exception. This unit is very clean & comfortable. The only issue is street noise, which can be considerable, from busses, trucks, motorcycles, etc.

Great Location and Property Manager

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the property to attend the Key West Songwriters Festival and the location was great! If you are planning to use the pool, it's a little bit of a walk especially if you have young children with you. The propety is adequately furnished, but honestly, we didn't spend much time there. Our only negative comment is that the outdoor electric grill didn't work very well. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Patio is great with morning sun, evening shade. We wish we could have been able ot use backyard gate onto Angela St. Our 4 star ratings below simply reflect above average. Nothing wrong, but nothing that was spectacular. We would rent again.I think our biggest and happiest surprise was the property manager. Checkin, checkout and everything in betwwen went smoothly and as expected. We had a couple of requests to the manager while we were they and they were very helpful.

Great location for walking everywhere!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo itself was very nice, clean, and within easy walking distance to Duval St and Mallory Square. It was located on a busy street corner though so traffic was a problem for noise. The kitchen was set up well for cooking meals. There were plenty of kitchenware and cookware. Overall it was a great place to stay if you want to be on the go.

desperately in need of an update

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit needs a complete update. The furniture is stained and spotted, I threw sheets over everything. The couch sounds like it is going to fall apart everytime you get up and down and it is terribly uncomfortable. The only updates of the last decade would be maybe a stove and dishwasher. We were there two weeks and we never felt comfortable. The extra bedroom was very cramped and loud because the AC unit is in the room. Very old and dated. The front door lock was difficult to use every single time. I realize now that any reviews on this unit are dated from some time ago. Also it says nothing about the location noise of this property. It is a corner unit on a very busy street, street level. Yu can hear every step from the unit above and the street. I would not recommend this unit or ever stay there again. It was not cheap to stay there and we felt like the owner did not care about putting any money into it, unless it was something that needed replacing. Very disappointed.
