I could write a book on our disappointment, but I will just mention a few things. The place was not clean, updated or well maintained. We could barely open and close the sliding door to enjoy the ocean view, which was the main reason we stayed there. There was THICK black mold from the floor to the ceiling in the main hallway closet. If I could just add pictures, I wouldn't even need to write anything. My older mother-in-law got severely sick within three days, and she stayed sick for over two months after returning home. She is allergic to mold and mildew. They slept in a bed right next to the closet. The vents were thick with black mold and lots of dark, fuzzy stuff. Management said if we just had called when we got there, they would have had the mold painted over and within two hours all would have been ok. That's not ok. I know there is paint to seal mold, but the sweeper and cleaning stuff was all in that closet....so....when they cleaned after the last guest (if they did) they should have CLEARLY seen the mold and it should have been taken care of, including finding the cause of the leak more importantly. We were told the mold was there because guests leave the sliding door open for too long... Management said the mold could have easily happened in one day because of the humidity. There is no way. The whole place just had a grimy feel. There were a ton more issues, but I am done. I'm sorry, I just don't want anyone else to spend a LARGE amount of money, like we did, to stay in a place like this. The kitchen, pool and view were the best parts. Although, there weren't even decent chairs on the patio for all of us to sit and enjoy the view. My greatest sadness was the fact that my mother-in-law was so incredibly miserable and continued to stay sick for so very long. Just not acceptable at ALL. The only refund offered was $250 (or something close to that...under $450 for sure...can't quite remember) We did not accept it. I requested a minimum of half our money back. I have never written a review before, but I had to for this. Such a disappointment.
