Just this week we have installed new granite countertops in the kitchen / repainted the condo / rehung all curtains / replaced the dinning room table, living room coffee table and end tables along with the lamps. Regarding the balcony restrictions, we want to clarify that as soon as we were informed by the city, we immediately notified all guests booked at Carolina Dunes with detailed information and options for their stay. We're not sure why you did not receive this message, and we understand how disappointing that must have been, especially since the balcony was an important part of your plans. As for the mattresses and bed frames, we appreciate your input and will share it with the property owner as we continue to work on upgrades. We also want to let you know that we provide guests with a starter pack of toiletries, garbage bags, soap, and similar essentials to get them settled, but guests are expected to bring or purchase additional supplies as needed for longer stays. This information is provided in your check in letter. Don't hesitate to reach out to us during your stay if any of these items are missing. Thank you again for your thoughtful comments. Terry we are so sorry you were not happy with your accomodations. We have been working on the owner to update and repair some things with the condo. We were able to get some new furniutre in the condo. We are hoping to get the condo re-painted and more new furniture this fall. As soon as we were made aware of your situation, we had someone from our maintenance team come take a look right away. We take this very seriously and want to make sure it gets addressed promptly. We understand how unsettling this kind of situation can be and we made it a point to be in continual contact with you. We informed management immediately and advised you on how best to handle the circumstances. You were never told to throw anything away. You were advised not to. We told you how to handle your belongings so things did not need to be discarded. Several staff members spoke with you throughout this process, as well as management. We provided you with contact information in order to help you find accommodations, as well as anything that was needed to make this a smoother process and made sure you were well taken care of. Please know our team prides themselves in going above and beyond to care for our guests. We apologize that this was your experience.
