Had trouble getting responses from hosts. I was told that somehow the app wasn't making them aware of new messages. The house was great and ideal for a large group of people. We had 15. Right across the street from the beach. There were no dish towels. Overall it was a great time

The home is very spacious and in an amazing location—right across the street from the beach, which was a huge plus for our group.Unfortunately, there were several issues that impacted our stay. There were quite a few bugs, spiders, and cobwebs throughout the house, which made it feel less clean than expected. The garbage disposal wasn’t working and had metal pieces inside, which was concerning. The hot tub had just been cleaned after we checked in, so it wasn’t usable until the following day and still had some debris in it. We also weren’t able to get the outdoor fireplace to work.In addition, communication and flexibility could have been better. They charge you for the entire reservation up front; We asked about canceling just a week after booking due to a change in our group, but were told we would lose 50% of the full stay. We also requested to drop our bags off early and that wasn’t accommodated.Overall, the location and size of the home are great, but there were enough maintenance and cleanliness issues that it took away from the experience.
