I stayed here for 5 days, 4 nights at this beautiful house with my husband, both parents, 3 year old and 7 month old daughters. We opted not to use the upstairs bedroom because it was pretty hot for our stay in June and the stairs a bit steep for our 3 year old to navigate without help, but we were comfortable all staying on the second floor (1 room with 2 queen beds for my husband, myself, 3 year old and we brought a packnplay for the baby). My parents stayed in the master bedroom:)
This property is definitely walking distance to the beach - when we paid to get into Odiorne State Park it was a further walk to the beach from paid parking(!). I walked there every morning when baby woke up early in the morning for a beach walk before everyone else was awake!
The house was super clean and very well equipped for cooking and eating. We purchased some cooking spray and paper plates which we left behind for the next guests but there was beer in the fridge and spring water on the counter♥️
Ray's Seafood was just a short drive away for awesome lobster dinner. We used the grill on the porch for grilled chicken and worked great!
Even though we'd stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever come back to Rye Beach, we would recommend a few changes to make this property even better:
1) dresser in the queen bedroom and/or more hangers
2) mat by the front door to help catch sand
3) repair kitchen faucet handle, it's loose
4) hooks or coat rack by the front door
5) a few lightbulbs need replacing
None of these changes would cause a loss in my rating or desire to come back. Lovely place and we had a wonderful time♥️♥️♥️
