Sky Zen - Ridge Line Retreat
Sky Zen is all about modern tranquility with unmatched views. Framed by uninterrupted mountain views and surrounded by peaceful forest, this contemporary retreat is where architecture meets stillness, where design meets nature, and where every detail is meant to soothe.
From the moment you turn onto the quarter-mile driveway the quiet sets in. As the home rises into sight, the bold modern design blends effortlessly into the landscape, with clean lines, expansive windows, and an intentional connection to the surrounding environment.
The panoramic vista from Sky Zen is breathtaking. From nearly every room in the house—and especially from the west-facing deck—you’ll take in sweeping views of the Green Mountains, including Sugarbush and Mad River Glen: Watch the sunrise over 40 miles of untouched ridge line.
Whether you’re soaking in the saltwater hot tub, enjoying coffee on the deck, or lying in bed gazing out oversized windows, the horizon is inescapable in the best possible way.
Modern Architecture, Thoughtful Interior Design
Sky Zen is open yet intimate, elevated yet grounded.
There are no Pottery Barn snowshoes or old skis nailed to the wall – original artwork punctuates the clean MCM-inspired aesthetic that flows throughout the home: It’s more curated than decorated.
The gourmet kitchen, equipped with high-end appliances, sharp knives, and a variety of glassware for just about any drink, anchors the open floor plan. The dining table offers a cozy space to gather, while the living area —with its wood-burning stove and modern seating—was made for slow mornings and fireside evenings.
When you create an account on the WiFi network, the welcome page includes a link to a Guest Manual that explains how to use everything, including the Bluetooth sound system
which fills the home with Audiophile-quality sound that makes ordinary moments feel cinematic. A separated media lounge provides room to spread out and relax with a movie or book.
Space to Recharge
The bedrooms are havens of calm. Each one is designed with intention: peaceful colors, luxurious linens, and mountain views that greet you each morning.
The primary suite includes a spa-like bathroom with a soaking tub that overlooks the landscape, perfect after a long day of skiing, hiking, or doing absolutely nothing.
Additional features like central A/C and room-darkening blinds ensure complete comfort, no matter the season.
Other things to note
The driveway has one steep stretch that can be challenging in winter if you aren’t properly prepared. AWD or 4WD vehicles and SNOW tires are necessary for winter visits. During mud season snow or all weather tires with AWD or 4WD are strongly recommended.
That said, the driveway is well-maintained with a regular local plowing service in winter, and on snow days our plow service is generally able to get you to the mountain by the time it opens (though depending on conditions we can’t guarantee this). For first-time arrivals, daylight check-ins are suggested for ease of navigation.
Great views often come with challenging driveways. The approach to Sky Zen is spectacular - but please take seriously our ask that you have proper vehicles with snow tires.
