Not Like the photos

The pictures of the unit. 2 bedroom apartment look nice the unit they gave me was an older 3 bedroom unit in need of some love to be nice. Bathroom were order hot water not work in in 1 bedroom the shower door felt like it was going to fall off Some lights not working kitchen old oven stove paint chipping off cabinets old

Low accuracy listing

I normally have good experiences with Airbnb but las gaviotas property has been one of the worst experiences ever. First of all the property looked nothing similar to the online listing. Second, I booked an apartment with Kitchen and was placed in a studio that had a terrible smell, wall paint coming off, and everything was very old in the room with a lot of ants. after I was moved to another unit the next morning, on my check day woke up with a lot of with roaches in the kitchen and bed bug bites in my body. Althoungh I was partially refunded for the damages and bad expereinceI would never booked this place again.

False Advertising

NO dish cloths or tea towels. Poor utensils. Dirty fridge.NO shuttle service, golf course, security, outdoor amenities (were closed down.)NO fitted sheets (sheets given did not fit) or mattress coversNO bathroom face cloths or hand towels. Two changes of bath towels per week and no towel racks and bath towels would also be your pool towel. No hooks to hang clothes. Very few hangers. Laundry facilities were very dirty. You had to buy two tokens at a time. No place to hang wet clothes.They allowed one of their permanent tennants to persuade us to buy tours from him and not give us refunds because the tours weren't available.The pool was okay, but the wooden slat lounge chairs were very uncomfortable. Some sweaty old man came along twice, took off his dirty clothes, put on some trunks and swam in the pool to clean himself and cool off!!At check out time, there was no one at the office to take our door cards and then they thought I did not return them after I left. I did not get a refund for an unused laundry token. Both patio doors did not latch and a stick had to be used for security. The patio door from the master bedroom leaked in rain and they gave me a mop to use when it rained. The other bedroom was set up for children and the two double bed's sheets did not fit and prevented using one of the clothes closets.The location was quiet and not far away from the hotel zone by uber.

El señor dueño de el apartamento me canselo 2 horas antes de el check in sólo con un mensaje de texto me me cánselo mi esposa y yo estuvimos buscando un hotel por mucho tiempo porque era temporada alta todos los hoteles estaban llenos al final encontré uno mucho más caro no renten este apartamento porque les puede pasar lo mismo que a mi

Not what was told or shown!!

Got to the place no one spoke English witch OK I'm in Mexico. But the room wasn't what they had on the web site it was not nice and not clean beds was hard if you don't mind being lied to and not clean good place 🤷‍♂️

NEVER RENT THIS PLACE!

First of all, this is suppose to be a Vrbo rental. - This place was ant infested; ants all over the bathroom and kitchen. I took videos of both. I checked in on June 30, 2021 and that was the first thing I noticed. There were also no wash clothes, no face towels, no three-prong power outlets to plug either of my two laptops in. I contacted the owner several times who told me he was on the property and would see but I never saw his face! He would always send the receptionist which led me to believe that he was never on the property. The second day I was here, he provided a 3-prong power adapter so I could use my laptop. The one television in the apartment looks like a small computer monitor, very hard to view. There were no extra bed sheets or linens; no chairs on the small patio; the internet kept dropping its connection. I was scheduled to stay at this warn-down, old, dank and horrific place until July 14, but after two days of battling ants and not being able to work properly, along with stubbinIg my baby toe one of the legs to the bed that extended out beyond the bed frame, I had had enough! I told the owner that I had to leave (there was a death in my family during that week) and that is the reason I gave him, but THAT was not the reason I left. I book a stay at a resort in Cancun that I am a member of on July 30th and stayed there until July 14th. I paid over TOO MUCH MONEY for this piece of crap - and totally regret it! I AM DONE WITH VRBO! This property pictures are deceiving and I WOULD NOT recommend ANYONE stay here unless you are desperate. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!!!!!

Was okay

They overbooked our reservation so they didn't have a room for us when we arrived. We all had to share a tiny room our first night. They upgraded us the next day to the penthouse which was nice and very clean but had poor water pressure. The ac worked well for us with the fans in everyroom. The views were nice but since it wasn't our original room hard to say what that would have been like. Manager at the desk doesn't speak English made it super hard to communicate. We needed toilet paper and had to track down housekeeping staff to get some. The neighborhood was a little noisy with barking dogs but was quiet at night. The neighborhood seems to be in disrepair but the property was nice. Location was perfect for our needs away from the hotel district but good range for activities and fun stuff we rented a car for the week and parking was easy. Internet worked great but the tv remotes didn't. Overall it was okay. The owner of the property said he would refund our first night.

Bien pero no lo q esperaba..!!

En las fotos se ve más elegante pero no están muy bien esos apartamentos. No habían muchos utensilios d cocina la refri vieja y sin luz adentro no había escoba para barrer adentro.. pedí toallas y nunca me las dieron .. pero los empleados muy amables y la piscina muy linda.!!!.!!!y el vecino d arriba tenía música a todo volumen en la noche.!!!por eso me salí un día antes ..!!! Pero muchas gracias.!!!!

Lack of maintenance and care

The staff in the block s very helpful, but the flat is a major letdown. The kitchen is barely functional and is equipped with 2 frying pans and a sauce pan. There were plates and mugs but just one glass. The cooker is tilted to one side and so is the fridge. Toaster is old, dirty, unusable. Showers don't work properly . Pillows are horrible. The air conditioning was fine. The swimming pool area is nice and the staff at the block friendly. But there is no care put in the flat for the most basic things. It is a15 minute walk from a bus stop for a bus to take you to the beaches. I would not repeat the experience and would not recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful and quiet location

I had a short stay here while I was rescuing a cat for a friend and loved the space, pool and friendly accommodations. I definitely recommend!

Nice and quiet apartment in the noisy hotel zone. It provide all of the necessites.

Nice little jam in the middle of the busy tourist hotel/party zone. I'd you want and nice place to rest and recharge. This is the right place to stay.

Lovely and quiet place

Our goal was to experience Mexico and not to make it a typical beach vacation. The condo worked out perfectly. Great area for walks with the view of the lagoon. View of the golf course and beyond was lovely from the pool area. Place is close to beach, shopping, downtown... we rented a car so was very convenient. Condo was very spacious, beds were comfy and spacious too. Kitchen could have been better equipped. Non stick pans worked only with excess oil. One bathroom did not have hot water... this was the major downside, but we coped with using one shower for family of 4. Another problem was the towels provided were not adequate after the first day, as in replacement towels All in all a lovely condo, walking distance to small grocery stores and a really really awesome taco stand. A must try if you're in the area. Best tacos evahhhh! Biggest surprise? Loved Mexico.... wasn't expecting much considering all the bad press regarding crime etc. Cancun is located perfectly if you want to drive around. Went to Chichen Itza, Isla Mujeras (fairly built up and crowded island), Puerto Morelos for snorkeling and the highlight of the trip .... cenotes!!! Trip to Cenote Zapote on ruta de la cenotes was surreal. Thank you to the lovely people of Mexico :)

Great stay

I stayed in the apartment during spring break, I had a pleasant stay. The staff was really diligent, the apartment was kept clean. The manager was awesome as well, I had an issue in the room and he quickly assisted and corrected the issue. Over all great place! You will need a vehicle , the apartment is not walking distance from the tourist destinations.
