The location and privacy of this home was amazing! Our family of 4 and 2 dogs had the best time enjoying the pond, views, and mother duck with 7 ducklings that visited every morning! It was an easy drive to get to any hot spots on the cape, as well as a quick drive to some great seafood! I was our first family vacation as the kids are 1 and 3, they loved the vacation home and it will hold a special place in our memories in which I hope we can come back to one day!

Cottage Rental

This cottage was what my wife and I were looking for; secluded and quiet. The property manager was helpful and quick to respond. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short, but if you are looking for a quiet spot that is close to town and is on water this is a great spot.

Beautiful location

My husband and I were in awe at how beautiful and secluded this location was. There’s a private road that leads to the small home on a large pond. It truly felt like we had the whole thing to our selves. This was a perfect spot for us to hangout and let our dog play in the water. The inside of the house is very basic but it had nice updated appliances and was perfect for a long weekend. Would definitely book here again!

Simple but charming cottage on fresh water pond

Peaceful cottage on a freshwater pond. Nice sandy beach right outside the door. Short drive or bike ride puts you in Chatham. The one bathroom and limited space makes this most suitable for two people. We were three people and two little dogs. Our three nights were fine. More than that could have been a problem.

Great place. We’ll come back next year

The house is amazing. Cozy but you don’t need more when you are outside most of the day. My daughter woke up everyday and went straight to play in the sand. We swam all day, even my dog was swimming!! Very short drive to all the beaches and to Chatham downtown area. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Cozy getaway with kitchen and kayaks

We loved the newly renovated kitchen! The window A/C unit cooled the cottage very effectively. The love seat in the living area was enough for the two of us. We especially appreciated how clearly the owners and New England Vacation Rentals communicated the risk of fleas and ticks; we were extra cautious in checking our dog every time we brought her inside (as luck would have it, she didn't acquire any). And we loved being able to kayak on the pond at a moment's notice!

Adorable and Peaceful Camp

We had a wonderful time staying at this little property! We arrived in the dark so the driveway was a little bit challenging in a low sportscar but we found it very easily. It is secluded and very peaceful, exactly what we were looking for to chill for a weekend. The property was just modern enough, extremely clean and easy to navigate, bed was very comfy. We spent a long time in the water and visited some restaurants in the area, but definitely had enough to do to pass the time for three days at the camp. Our dog had a wonderful time as well on walks around the pond, swimming, and taking in the wildlife (which was everywhere). Loved the outdoor shower!!

Peaceful paradise

What a perfect location for a restful vacation! Spent many hours sitting by the pond watching osprey and turtles, kayaking in the lovely pond, and just listening as the pond rippled against the shore. It's also only a few minutes to a few really nice beaches on the south shore of the cape. And an easy drive to the Atlantic where we enjoyed viewing almost 100 seals bobbing in the water off of Head of Meadow beach. Nickerson park with more ponds and trails for hiking is also nearby. We cooked every dinner in the kitchen which had everything we needed. Great place for our dog too! And the weather was excellent!

Paradise Found

Private, peaceful, tranquil, beautiful, sandy, simple, rejuvenating vacation. The photos don’t do the cabin and locale justice. The cabin is ”tight”; - new windows, appliances, cookware, comfy bed. Everything we needed for a perfect three weeks at the beach. We were there during the infamous tornado of 2019 - and despite the fact that this cabin is raised on cinder blocks, we felt totally safe (and BOY were those winds unbelievably strong!). It’s so very private. We loved that it was right on the water - the sandy beach found its way in to the cabin every day (be prepared to sweep up twice a day) - but that’s part of the charm of a beach vacation. The water at Goose Pond is warm and crystal clear. Wildlife abounds: turtles, egrets, bunnies, turkey, falcons, fish, frogs, seagulls. Spent hours under the shade of the pine trees just letting the breeze flow over. The dog was in heaven - he was our official Minnow Patrol and made sure the coast was clear at all times (because you know, those minnows can be soooo dangerous... ha ha) Owners live across the street and are super friendly and eager to please. Quite possibly the best summer vacation ever. Thank you, NEVR!

Little gem

Highly recommend, if you are looking for peace and privacy. This little gem has everything you need a sandy beach to sit and relax by the beautiful pond. My family and I ( son 11 yrs and two Australian shepherds) enjoyed many many walks along the pond. Kayaking was another high light. The cottage was also very close to all the great restaurants. Just to name a few Talkative Pig, the corner store, marions pie shop, mom and pops very delicious. The cottage overall is small yet has all the good stuff great 4K tv for night time movie watching. Comfy beds, decor, dinnerware all very nice. We will definitely visit again.

If It’s peace and quiet and beauty you want this is the place. However it is rustic: there is no bottle opener no carrot Peeler no dishwasher just a beautiful pond

Tennis Ball, Worn Smooth The people who lived in our cottage the week before we came to do the same left paw prints in the coarse yellow sand bordering the damp edge of Goose Pond. A Labrador no doubt, judging by the size, the way they repeatedly entered the water, blurring and deepening in the shallows. A worn tennis ball half hidden in grass dropped in anticipation of a swift return, the sunny side dry, the shady still wet. How many times did the lab look back? How many times have we?
