Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outdoors to the interior at Keuka Lookout, blurring the lines between indoors and out, and framing tranquil views of the woodland surrounding the home and the seasonal glimpses of Keuka lake through the trees.
The architecture is understated yet refined, with bright primary colors, and simple decor, allowing the surrounding woods to take center stage. Inside, the open first floor layout is serene and clutter-free, flooded with natural light and grounded by warm, natural materials. The Kitchen is simple and minimal with no hidden secrets---all of the kitchen items and utensils are intentionally displayed on open shelving, with an island in the center grounding the space between the kitchen, dining area, and living room.
The dining area has a stunning live edge table with built in benches while the adjoining living room creates a cozy space for rest. The wall of glass doors takes center stage here in the living area, where the doors can be slid back (accordian style)into the wall creating a seamless opening between the outdoor deck space and the indoor living spaces and allowing the serene views of the woods inside. The gas fireplace adds to the comfort of this simple living space.
Each of the bedrooms at Keuka Lookout are designed as an en suite, with minimalist fixtures and beautiful tilework in the bathrooms, tying the coordinating primary wall color in each bedroom, to each bathroom. Each bathroom has a large walk in shower with a rainhead and teak shower bench. Each of the bedrooms are spacious with a Queen size bed, apart from the one second floor bedroom that has a Double/Twin bunk. There is one Queen bedroom located on the main floor, another Queen bedroom and the Double/Twin bedroom located on the second floor, and you'll find the 4th bedroom up on the 3rd floor....giving this 4th bedroom the feeling of a "nest" high in the trees.
From the 3rd floor, you can walk out onto a 3rd floor balcony area or traverse the winding spiral staircase up onto the rooftop deck. The rooftop deck is easily a crowd favorite....a perch up on top, looking down at the woodland below and catching glimpses of the lake through the trees. The rooftop deck has Adirondack chairs where you can stargaze, sunbathe, or close your eyes and breathe in the scents of trees around you and listen to the birds sing.
This is a home that feels both designed and discovered—modern in form, timeless in feeling. Designed for the minimalist and modernist, you will appreciate the thoughtful build of the home and find peace in the simple lines of this newly built home.
Keuka Lookout is located just a stones throw from Keuka State Park and Keuka Lake. While the home does not have lake access, a short one minute drive to the park will allow you to get out on the water and enjoy the calm of Keuka Lake.
