The host was the incredibly communicative. The property was clean, beautiful, and in a great location to a walk to the beach and playground in about ten minutes. Would consider staying again if returning to Santa Barbara and would certainly recommend to other families and relaxing beach trips.

Everything was great! Host was easy to communicate with. Beautiful property. No issues, nicely decorated, clean, comfortable. We had 6 adults and a baby so more than enough room.

Clean rooms, beautiful vibe, and plenty of space. Extremely strict quiet hours that are not clearly communicated in the listing. Otherwise, fantastic stay.

Our group of 6 booked this home specifically because it was advertised as a 5-br property and matched our needs. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations due to miscommunications. A couple of weeks before our trip, the host informed us that the 5th bedroom had been converted into an office, despite the listing title and photos explicitly stating 5 bedrooms at the time of booking. When we shared screenshots of the original listing with the title "5BR" and photos of the 5th bedroom from the listing, the host offered to place a twin mattress on the floor of the office. We accepted this solution since it was far too late to find an alternative option at a reasonable price. We knew the listing had no A/C but we were offered a separate fee simply to have the option to have A/C installed. Having standard climate control treated as an add-on was off-putting. We opted to open the windows instead, but it is an older home the windows were difficult to open and close. Although laundry is listed as an amenity, the detergent provided was empty. If laundry is listed as an amenity, the owner must provide supplies to use it. While the location is convenient for visiting SB, the lack of transparency around bedroom layout, nickel-and-diming for basic utilities, we felt the price was not worth the value of what was offered

Hi julie, this is the Owner of Chosen. Thank you for your feedback. This home was never listed to sleep more than 8 people and had always had the conversion to the office disclosed in the listing. We're very sorry the timing lined up with your stay but we wanted to offer the twin to help with the change. The majority of our homes do not have AC, but as a company we've purchased several portable units we offer to our guests as an add-on if they'd like. They sell out weekly for us so unfortunately we're not able to offer them complimentary. As for the laundry soap, that's an easy fix and so sorry about that, we could've dropped them off immediately. Next time you're in town let us know and we'd love to host you again!
