Villa Fontana is the perfect vacation rental to enjoy in Dorado. The property was really well maintained, cleaned, and equipped with anything you would need. We will definitely stay at Villa Fontana again. The checking process is super simple and well documented… also, the staff is really friendly and will guide you throughout the process if you were to need any help.

Super Responsive Host!

We stayed a week. There were a few things that required attention from Karen and she was super responsive. The place is in a great location and you can walk to the beach in a few minutes. Beds were comfortable. There is security and a gated access community. I would stay there again.

Family Stay

Property is well kept and well appointed with the necessities. Community pool is nice and location provides access to many parts of the island. Check-in process is slightly complicated and use of the community amenities requires a key that isn't explained in the welcome info. Initially did not hear back quickly from host with questions, but eventually she was responsive and helpful.

Ok for a short stay. Many things that don’t work

This is an apartment in Dorado in a gated community in a dorado Del Mar. When we retrieved the gate remote control, it fell apart and definitely has seen better days. Unsure why it wasn’t replaced earlier. The gate beeper didn’t work and we couldn’t enter the property or leave. Eventually we parked outside the community. After we went in, the apartment was not properly clean. We found a ball of hairs and floor felt slimy. The A/C broke and froze and started to leak. The property manager sent someone to repair it. The TV remotes didn’t work. The location is ok. Definitely needs a car and drive through the whole neighborhood to leave the complex. The pool was great. Overall, disappointed with the property. Needs TLC.

Great Beach Getaway

This location was perfect for our family of 5. We had plenty of space, were close to the beach and the pool, and felt safe in the area. We would definitely recommend this location. Pros: 1. Comfortable and clean condo with plenty of room for our family of 5 2. Safe gated community 3. Quick walk to the beach and pool 4. Beach towels and chairs provided 5. Quick drive to tons of restaurants (local and chain options) and other shopping 6. Easy communication with rental agency 7. Plenty of towels provided for showering 8. Washer/dryer on site 9. Assigned parking spot 10. Easy drive to many tourist locations, including San Juan, El Yunque, etc. Suggestions: 1. The check in process was a bit complicated, and renting through Vrbo the directions sent to us did not have links that worked. A quick call helped us get in to the condo. 2. We wished that garbage bags and toilet paper had been provided for an 8-day stay for a family of 5. I understand that these items can’t be left in infinite supplies, and I imagine some renters overuse or maybe even steal these things, but it’s a pet peeve of mine to have to go out and buy toilet paper and garbage bags when we’re paying $$$ per night for an extended stay. The pros far outweigh these two minor inconveniences. We will definitely keep this location in mind if we visit Dorado again.

Overall a good experience

Best things about this place were: -short walk to beach and pool -beach has ample natural shade from trees -safe neighborhood with lots of stores and restaurants a quick drive away -was clean with comfortable beds -host provided lots of towels, beach chairs, beach toys, pool noodles, plus coffee, filters, salt/pepper, cooking oil -the AC worked beautifully, you could set your desired temperature in each room A few issues to note: -some of the photos posted were slightly inaccurate, for example the couch was different than the photo and was very worn with some stains, seating in the living room area overall was not very comfortable. -several of the lights did not work initially, luckily we were able to rearrange as needed and find new lightbulbs in the cabinets -the smart TV in the living room worked but some in the bedrooms did not. Perhaps remote needed batteries? -the washer/dryer unit was in a closet on the front porch… so not in the unit, but still private and worked well. -the kitchen had a toaster oven but not a full size oven. There was a microwave, stove top, fridge and dishwasher. The cookware was limited and not in great shape. Dishes were in good condition however limited in number so had do run dishwasher often. -the beach nearby is a public beach so unfortunately some trash is left including beer bottle tops, plus there is natural debris from the trees. The sand near the water was nice enough for our kids to play in barefoot though & build sandcastles.

Tastefully Narrow

The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The stairs were narrow but that can’t be helped. Unfortunately there was no mention of registering our car with the association but when we reached out to the owner we got a prompt response with a solution. Overall the property was very clean and comfortable; we really enjoyed our stay.

This condo near the ocean was comfortable and affordable.

We were very pleased with our stay at Villa Fontana. We were very happy with the attentive and kind management by Miquel and Adrian. Being our first time on the island they had great advice. The neighbors who live in the complex were so friendly as well. The condo was very clean and the beds were very comfortable and new. We prepared most our meals at the condo and the kitchen was adequate with most necessities for cooking. The patio was nice to sit in and eat our meals. The pool was a hit for our whole family. Nearby beaches especially Playa Cerro Gordo were good for kids. The location is close to San Juan’s beaches as well, Playa Ocean Park was family friendly. They grocery stores and restaurants nearby were great and we especially liked the Baskin Robins. Overall, we would definitely recommend this condo for other families and vacationing people.

Located at the far side of a gated community. Adequate for two couples.

Beautiful Villa

From the moment we walked into this villa, we loved it. The villa has everything we needed for our vacation. This villa is so beautifully decorated and so close to the beach, shops, and restaurants that we really felt like staying in it forever.
