Summary:
This newly renovated townhome with two levels was originally built in 1975. The home has all new furniture, supplies, and décor. East Tallahassee has tons of restaurants and many shopping locations minutes from downtown. We are located in the heart of the city, with quick access to all downtown, universities, and hospitals. The neighborhood is quiet but a block over has many restaurants within a short driving distance.

The Neighborhood:
This specific neighborhood is located less than a mile from one of the main roads in Tallahassee making it very easy to get to and from the most popular destinations and restaurants. The neighbors are very quiet and family oriented.

Interaction with Guests:
Less than half a mile away in their own townhome neighborhood, this husband and wife team strive to help all of their guests have an enjoyable, welcoming stay. Please notify us of any discrepancies and allow us the opportunity to make it right during your stay.

The pictures they had online are really deceiving. Parking was bad, not much hot water ran out after one person took a shower, no outlet cover in bathroom downstairs next to sink, in guest bathroom upstairs the switch doesn’t stay on for fan and light over shower, and exposed wire in master bedroom closet. Back porch is not suitable to use.

The listing was misleading in several ways. This is not a home, it is a unit in a larger complex in a questionable area of town. There is no street parking in front of this unit as advertised, and no lighting at the complex or the unit itself if you arrive after dark as we did. The biggest issue was the poor instructions on the door lock which is also so weathered that some of the buttons are unreadable - so we could not even access the property. The hosts were unreachable, leaving us to search for a hotel room at 11 pm on the eve of our son’s tournament that had sold out almost all hotels. Our family ended up in a single room, sharing beds and sleeping on a sofa. When the host finally responded the next day, she took me to task for “my attitude,” falsely claimed she could not issue a refund unless Vrbo directed her to, then finally agreed to do so after I provided Vrbo’s policy to her. Three weeks later, still no refund so I had to escalate the dispute into a legal realm. In a decade on Vrbo we have never had an issue with any property, let alone something as atrocious as this experience.
