小さいながらも趣がある。 プラティパスデンは、1900年頃の遺産に登録されている家とコーチハウス「ハーコート」に直接取り付けられた、整頓された平和な1ベッドルームユニットです。 多くの重要な木々と素晴らしい古い庭の設定。 300m以上のヤラ川の正面に直接アクセスできる趣味の農場環境をお楽しみください。
ヤラ川の間口には、有名な川の曲がりがあり、そこでは川が深くなり広がります。 常在するカモノハシは、早朝や夕暮れ時によく見られます。 釣り、カヌー、ピクニック、川での水泳を楽しめます。
ユニットには、電子レンジ、トースター、ミニ冷蔵庫、電気ストーブ/オーブン、テレビ、電気加熱/冷却付きの簡易キッチンがあり、シャワー付きの専用バスルームがあります。
提供される紅茶、コーヒー、および基本的な規定
ウォーバートンレイルトレイルはカモノハシデンの向かいにあり、散歩やサイクリングに最適です。

Great location, all the facilities you may require and excellent, helpful hosts. Private access to the beautiful Birrarung river and seeing platypus were both my deciding factor and my highlight. Thanks again to Jenny and Kirk for a lovely stay!

Platypus Den

A lovely self contained annex with access to rear garden and river Yarra and close to Warburton. Enjoyed the short walk to the river and fishing in a nice secluded area. Has all the facilities you need. This was our second stay and we will return again.

Ideal peaceful country getaway

This property is really something very special, with the riverfront, platypus, chickens and satin bowerbirds all at your doorstep (some closer than others). Platypus Den itself is a little dark inside, but that was part of what made it a perfect place for a quiet, restful solo retreat. Kirk and Jenny are lovely, welcoming guests. Highly recommended for anyone couple or a single person looking for a quiet, restorative country getaway.

The riverside location, the history of buildings and some trees made it a great place to go for some basic unwinding. The owners are good people and the wild and less wide life enhance the experience. 5 star it's not, but there are times when standing at dusk on a riverbank enjoying the wild life, the river sounds and being the only ones there is much, much better than any star rating.

A tranquil place for recharge

We had a relaxing stay there for our wedding anniversary. Welcomed by the host and had a good chat. A really nice place to stay to unwind. We liked walking in the big backyard along the Yarra River. We had a glimpse of a playtupus. So exciting. Thank you.

So pretty nice to get back to nature. All you could hear was the beautiful birds and the river. Met our host Jenny & Kirk lovely people we felt very welcomed there. Will definitely be going back again.👌😊🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just like Home

We knew we would be well looked after the moment we arrived. Kirk greeted us with friendly and inviting conversation and immediately we felt like we were meeting up with an old friend. The cottage was cosy with handcrafts loving made by Jenny looking out on an immaculate cottage garden alive with Satin Bower Birds making their bowers. The river running along the bottom of the property was an invitation to come back during the summer months. We loved our little retreat and can’t wait to stay again soon.

Short Break

I only needed a bed for the night while I visited my family. Platypus Den was clean, comfortable, homely, with a great “backyard “ onto the river, and very friendly hosts. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again

Peaceful

The accommodation was in a big property that was beautiful, private and quiet. It has its own private entry from the main house. It is ideal for a couple. It has all the amenities for cooking. A AC is handy as it was in the middle of winter and Warburton is in the edge of the Yarra Mtn Ranges. The Yarra river ran behind the property. Close to Warburton town which is quaint and lots of walking trails. Unfortunately, it rained on the day we had planned to walk. We found all eating places closed Mon-Tues but managed to go to Woolworths in Yarra Junction to buy food. Close to the wineries. We had a nice 2 days relaxing and was welcomed b6 the owner.

Process disgusting

I was told I couldn't have the dates I wanted and needed to choose different ones. It was my 45 wedding anniversary. Had ABSOLUTELY no further correspondance. So I booked a room in Melb CBD. You took the money for a holiday I never had.

Calm and beautiful

The loacation was very serene and scenic. The mountains, rivers are very beautiful. My partner and I stayed for the weekend at Platypus Den for a couple days. The place was very tidy and homely. There were books, movies, board games and basic necessities were provided as well. Our special thanks to the property owners, they were awesome. Had a lovely time and would love to visit again.

A great retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Platypus Den. It was a very comfortable & relaxing retreat with everything we needed. We loved the gardens and enjoyed being regularly visited by three very friendly chickens whilst sitting outside on the verandah. We also loved sitting by the Yarra River on the edge of the property and were rewarded by many platypus sightings over the week. The hosts, Kirk & Jenny were fantastic; very welcoming and helpful. Warburton is a lovely town only about 5 mins drive away and there is plenty of beautiful scenery & places to explore around the area. We'd highly recommend a stay in Playtpus Den to anyone looking for accommodation around Warburton - we'd certainly like to visit again.

Just as described.

We really enjoyed our stay in Platypus Den. It was comfortable and relaxing. The platypus duly turned up and we spent a pleasant hour or two sitting by the river. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. It was great to be able to walk in to Warburton along the track.

Great fishing hideaway

The property is attached to the owner's house but is completely private and allowed to freely roam the garden and adjacent land. Access to fish the River Yarra is a 2 minute walk and is a scenic area to fish. A nice place to stay and fish.

Once again another fabulous stay at the den with many close sightings of the Platypus and as weather was just delightful many a lovely gentle walk into Warburton town for a coffee by the river,, Kirk and Jenny and two of the most beautiful people of this earth and can never do enough for you if you require anything,, go stay there as you will not be disappointed and the views are something to behold,,

Wonderful river-side getaway

Platypus Den is on an incredible property just outside Warburton, with the Yarra River running along two of its sides. The main house and the surrounding garden are modelled on an English country estate, like something out of a MidSummer Murder mysteries episode (without the crime overtones of course). Very charming and makes you feel a world away from the usual scenery in Melbourne. Platypus Den itself is a simple but well-set-up room for one or two people. I did a solo meditation retreat here and it was just perfect for my needs - the hosts Kirk and Jenny were considerate and left me to do my thing. I wasn't quite alone - apart from seeing platypuses playing in the river on a couple of evenings, I also had the three friendly chickens for company as well as many other flighted birds, including the resident Satin Bowerbird family. Upon entering the room, there's a slight smell of damp (?) but I couldn't notice it after thirty seconds and it didn't bother me at all the whole time I was there. The bed is nice and firm - just how I like it. There's also a split system to keep the room temperature comfortable. In all, this is a very special magical place, and I'll definitely be back - probably for another solo retreat but I also look forward to sharing it with my wife some time.

Lovely retreat.

The property was comfortable and well equipped. Jenny and Kirk were really helpful and friendly and the garden and river were beautiful. Warburton is a lovely town and there is plenty of gorgeous scenery to explore.

Great self contained setup. Very clean, tidy & comfortable with all I needed. Park at the front door, very private and therapeutic to walk down to the river with my morning coffee. Close to wonderful Warby town.

Great location

Platypus den is a situated on a beautiful property. It was a peaceful getaway for my partner and I. It was only a short walk into the town of Warburton. It was a great base for exploring the many scenic spots in the area. Kirk greeted us on arrival and provided great local knowledge on what to do in the area. The accommodation itself is neat and comfortable.

Cosy stay in a gorgeous property

We had a lovely stay at the Platypus Den. The accomodation is clean, cosy, and had everything we needed, along with a few fun extras (games, books, coffee, etc). The property was stunning and the owners were happy for us to have a wander. We met Kirk and had a lovely chat. He was full of local knowledge. Both he and Jen left us contact details on the table the night we arrived in case we needed anything, but we found we didn’t because they had thought of everything and had it all provided.
