Experience a summer getaway in our delightful 1950s cabin, nestled close to the river, walking trails, and a short stroll to town.

Renovated and thoughtfully equipped, unwind amongst stunning garden and mountain views. The spacious deck with BBQ and a family-sized table is perfect throughout the day and evening to enjoy a meal, drink in the view, and and chat with the friendly locals - king parrots, rosellas, kookaburras ...

This peaceful, dog-friendly retreat (with 1.2m fencing all round, and a roaming wombat) is accessible via a cement ramp (no steps) to the front door and offers ample off-street parking. It’s the ideal place to disconnect from the world for a few days or use as a base for exploring the breathtaking Upper Yarra Ranges.

Our wonderful guests have left glowing reviews, praising our comfy beds, family-friendly amenities, vintage charm and local adventures. For summer, there is air-conditioning in the lounge and fans in the bedrooms.

The accommodation was very comfortable and spotless. The place was very tastefully decorated and supply of cutlery and crockery and pantry was more than adequate. Leanne was very quick to reply to any of our queries.We will definitely be back.

Perfect location just a short walk into Warburton shops and cafes. Secure garden ideal for our dog. Lots of lovely bird life and feels very much in the country! Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful place to stay and so close to the Main Street. Plenty of lovely walks to go on and Mt Donna so close. The backyard is lovely and it was so great to be able to take our dog.

Very pretty Warburton house and garden

Idlewylde is a gorgeous little house and garden with everything you need for a comfortable stay in a quiet end of town, close to the river and a nice walk to town. The facilities were great and all clean and tidy, with thoughtful choccies and wine as a bonus welcome, would highly recommend the property to stay at,

Wonderful stay for wedding weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Idyllwylde very much. Leanne was very prompt with communication and so kind. The home was clean, cozy and well situated in the town, only a 3 minute drive or about 12 minute walk to the main road. Check-in was very easy, as Leanne provided very detailed instructions, and the home was a good amount of space for four people. We would love to stay again if ever back in Warburton!

Perfect getaway

Exactly as advertised ! Just a couple minutes stroll to the river which was sublime on days when it was 38 degrees. Cottage had everything you could need and was securely fenced for our dog. Maybe avoid if you have a cockatoo phobia… Can’t wait to book again.

Great facilities for kids and pets. Walking distance to Yarra. The rings provided for use down the Yarra were a hit and the bird seed to feed the birds around the house. A lovely bottle of wine and some lollies and extra supplies in the cupboards and fridge were very generous. Great communication from owner.

Great time!

We had a wonderful time at Idyllwylde cabin. The place is very cosy, where you can relax and feel at home with comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Outside you are surrounded by trees and birds coming to say hello.

Home away from home

We could not have had a more relaxing mini-break. The cottage is clean, fully equipped with a peaceful outdoor area. There is a stream running down the back of the property that is calming. Our dog loved the fully fenced yard and the walks nearby. Warburton is such a beautiful place with much more to see than we realised. We cannot recommend this property enough.

Nice family stay

The stay was a perfect little get away for the family. The area was beautiful and the backyard was big enough for the dog. The house was homey and had everything we needed.

A relaxed and welcoming energy

You never really know what to expect when you arrive at a new holiday cottage, but this place felt instantly warm and welcoming. The host had left us a special basket of treats (always popular) and access to essentials we'd managed to forget, like the olive oil. The fire was prepped to be lit, the beds were warm and comfy, and the location couldn't be beat. I had three wonderful walks with my dog over the weekend, and a top quality morning coffee in town (10 mins walk along the river) - all without the need for a car. I would highly recommend this cute little getaway house!

Fabulous cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was homely and spotless with wonderful character. We had cold rainy weather during our stay, but none of us minded when we had such a lovely place to retreat to when we needed to cut short our daily adventures and get out of the weather. The cottage was easy walking distance to the shops via the picturesque river trail and host Leanne was very helpful. The welcome goodies were an unexpected surprise too! We found plenty to entertain ourselves with in the Warburton area and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay in the cottage if we are in the Warburton area again. A big thumbs up from our whole family.

As a Melbourne-based family, we purchased Idyllwyde as a place to renovate and enjoy. This is the first time we've had a place to host. While it's significant amount of work, we really enjoy hosting. Our guests have all been lovely, organised, and respectful of the house.

It's just the perfect escape point - not too far from Melbourne. Warburton has its charms all year round, and you can be as busy or lazy as you want to be. We love the river, and being back in the country, with all the conveniences of town - like good coffee :)
