Great location for a family vacation. The house had a cool, old school cabin vibe. The river views, space to spread out, hot tub, wood burning stove stand out. Great proximity to Palisades ski area, Truckee and Tahoe City. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. I would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It’s incredibly spacious and perfect for relaxing. The kitchen is fully stocked, which is ideal if you enjoy cooking. One of the highlights was falling asleep to the peaceful sounds of the river—so calming.The hot tub was very clean, roomy, and a great way to unwind after a day out. The location is also super convenient, with easy access to Palisades Ski Area and the nearby lake Tahoe and quick trip to Reno airport.We highly recommend this place and would absolutely love to come back, especially in the summer!

This was exactly the kind of Tahoe cabin we had hoped it would be: Charming, historic, light-filled, right on the river (with a deckside hot tub) and incredibly close to Palisades skiing and the Tahoe River Trail. It was the perfect size for our group of 10 (4 adults and 6 teenagers); we had plenty of room to read, play games, make big communal meals and eat them together, and star gaze on the deck. The whole crew agreed we should come back again.

This beautiful home was a perfect getaway for our family. The kitchen is very well stocked. The dining room sat all of us, the living room was so cozy and all of the beds were very comfortable. It is a beautiful home and everyone loved having their own room and it was a beautiful view out the window of the river. Bonus that it was snowing almost the whole time! Jim is very friendly and helpful and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Perfect Palisades Ski House

The property was perfect for our family’s annual ski trip. It has a big, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a great spa overlooking the river. The VRBO photos are accurate. Don’t miss this jewel of a mountain cabin.

Great stay and location!

Very cozy house with a wonderful location near Palisades Tahoe. Allowed our group to ski very easily without a long drive in the morning. Loved the kitchen and dining room that wrapped around the large family room — all these spaces made for great environments to hang out and make memories!

Fantastic Location & Amenities

Communication with host was great from start to finish. House exceeded expectations with a very well equipped kitchen and a large hot tub. This perfect ski house is along the river in a very safe area and minutes from Tahoe Palisades. Plenty of room for a large group - we were a family of 10 and it never felt crowded. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful location directly on the Truckee river

Family weekend

We were in town for a family wedding and this property was perfect for our family. We had room to prepare for the wedding, room for the kids to hang out, and lots of space for the cousins to play The hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was incredible, And falling asleep to the sound of the rushing river was so peaceful
