この改造されたクラシックな50年代の職人スタイルのビーチフロントコテージは、いつでもお楽しみいただけます。家全体に透明な松の床があり、上品に塗装された、オリジナルの松の舌と木立の壁があります。キッチンとバスには、花崗岩とフォルミカのカウンタートップを備えたメープルキャビネットが付いています。

Good Times

Everything was listed accurately, the house was very clean. Plenty of room for 5 adults, we were on the beach for most of the day’s, we did go over to Southport, it’s a cute town you have to take a ferry over. Chris our host was easy to work with and check in & out was very easy

Great mini-vacay!

A Summer's Rest is absolutely adorable! It's quite roomy for a "little" cottage and its decorated beautifully and little hands can't get into too much mischief :)It was clean and had all the basics we would need for our 2 night stay.Booking on VRBO was seamless and Chris, the owner, was fabulous in communicating. And, he was super fabulous the day we were leaving when an unexpected issue arose.Not only would I stay at A Summer's Rest again but I would recommend it to everyone I know who planned on vacationing at Carolina Beach.OH! And the price was reasonable too!Thank you, Chris, for sharing your beautiful home!

Perfect Ocean Front Home

We could not have picked a better place to stay! Beach front, great deck space, volleyball court, firepit, and plenty of room. This home is perfected located and in walking distance to so many great things Carolina Beach has to offer. Owner did an amazing job with upgrades and decor! Highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again.

Adult Weekend Getaway

Excellent place to stay!!! Parked on Friday and never got back in the car. The house had everything we needed and plenty of options within walking distance. Loved sitting by the fire pit at night listening to music. We will definitely be back!!

This was a clean and roomy home.

We had a great, relaxing stay. I was able to go running in the morning and walk to the boardwalk for some shopping. I will definitely pick this house again when I come back to Carolina Beach.

Perfect Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay. Great location and had a private access to the beach. My only issue was the access was very narrow and needed cleaned up some. Other than that it was perfect. Would love to stay again..

Carolina Beach Bungalow

Had a wonderful stay while visiting our son who lives in Wilmington. The house is clean and recently updated. The owner was easy to work with. The house is beach front and close to restaurants, grocery stores, anything you would need.

Great Location. Great Home.

A group of us stayed here for Labor Day weekend. We had such a great time! So close to the beach! Loved playing volleyball on the private court. Be sure to check out Pop's Ice Cream and Ocean Grill, which are super close!

Second stay here - even better than the first!!

We just spent a fantastic long weekend in this house - our second time here and it keeps getting better. Having the beach as your backyard is simply unbeatable. Add in the great location, easy parking, ice cold AC and a really responsive owner - there's no better value and no better place to spend time at the beach. We can't wait to go back!!!

Great Summer Vacation

Our family had a fantastic stay at "A Summers Rest"...the view was fantastic, loved having our own personal volleyball court, the beds were comfortable, and plenty of room for our family of 6. Also enjoyed the convenience of having "Fun Time" Ice cream across the street. Looking forward to coming back again another time!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!

This place was absolutely AMAZING... it was a yearly girls trip that we take every year at Carolina Beach ..we have stayed in many houses at carolina but this has to be one of my all time FAVORITES.. Beautiful little house with so much to do .. the fire pit was one of our favorite things ..great location with a gorgeous view of the beach . The owner was amazing quick to respond to any questions we had about anything.. cant wait to book this house again very soon.

Volleyball house is a great game!

We stayed a week with 4 adults and 3 grandkids- 2,4,6. Absolute blast, all only crying was when we left. 50 steps from beach access, across the street is soft serve ice cream. The back yard is remarkably private. We will be back 👍

Average property that rests on the merits of its ideal location and amenities.

The property itself was ideal -- location was very good and near major activities. You can walk or bike to any of the nearby restaurants or the "downtown" area. The home itself is a little dated -- but that doesn't necessarily detract from the overall experience. Everything worked as described and was clean.

Amazing backyard!

We are a family of 5 with kids ranging in age 15-19. This house was perfect for us. We spent most of our time in the yard playing volleyball and other outdoor games. It was also nice to have restaurants within a mile walk and the ocean so close. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee looking at the ocean. Loved this house!

Great original beach house in a great location

This was a wonderful place to stay even though the weather was awful during our visit. The kids loved the sand volley ball court and used all the toys available under the house to build castles in the sand. The fire pit was AWESOME, and there were lots of warm throw blankets to snuggle with. The house is as advertised - an original cottage style home with all the upgrades. We loved it!

Home away from home

We were looking for an easy access beach front property for my family and my sister in law/ BILs family. We had 6 people- 2 toddlers and 4 adults. This house was perfect! A great kitchen, cozy living room with a play area, and the rooms were just perfect for the 6 of us! Chris made everything perfect. Would come back here 500x more times. Such a relaxing vacation and great area! Loved this house!

Awesome House

We stayed at this house over Labor Day weekend and had a fantastic experience! The house was in excellent condition and very clean. It was just a few steps from the ocean and also very convenient to everything else in Carolina beach. It was a perfect house for our family with two small children. The owner was super easy to work with and very accommodating. I would highly recommend it for your beach stay!

Perfect spot!

We stayed in this house for Our annual girls beach trip. The house is cozy, but there were plenty of places for all 8 of us to sleep. The house was clean and decorated beautifully. When standing on the back deck, the view of the ocean is spectacular. Beach access was easy. Our favorite part of the property was the fire pit! It was perfect to sit in the comfy chairs in the evenings and chat into the late hours! We are ready to book this house again for next year!

Year after year... it's great.

Our third Memorial Day weekend in this house. Chris, the owner, is responsive and takes excellent care of the property. The location - right on the beach, the deck/yard/firepit, and the comfortable/crisp/clean/cozy house make this the perfect place for groups, families or couples. We wore our masks, stayed 6 feet from everyone and had a GREAT time. You simply cannot beat the location, condition and price of this home and Chris is an exceptional owner.

Best place yet for kids and adults

We have stayed her twice now and will continue to book. This year we went earlier (May 7-13) and it was windy, chilly and rainy, so not great for the beach. Girls enjoyed the volleyball court for sandcastles and volleyball. We all enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. The porch was perfect for family time. Always make a trip to the Aquarium and the ice cream shop (FUNNEL CAKES!) across the street. Dinner at Stoked.

I have been in the business of building (I am a licensed General Contractor) and maintaining rental property in the Wilmington area since the early 90's. I am the proud owner of this great beach bungalow in Carolina Beach (A Summer's Rest ). This is home was remodeled summer of 2013 (updated in 2019) AND NOW REJUVINATED IN 2024, and is ready for your occupancy. I am a local resident who enjoys using my beach home when not being leased. I know you'll enjoy this home, and would like to thank you for considering staying in my home. After April, I will still be local, just turning over the reins to a regular management company so I can focus on creating other projects. If you/management need me, I will be available.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

This home is truly in one of the best spots on the beach. Besides the private beachfront lot that sits in front of the home, the location and proximity to the downtown area (bars, shopping, food, entertainment), lake (paddle boats, free Sunday night movies under the stars), shopping and food (ice cream and snack bar across the street) make it ideal. With only a short walk to all, you can forget about needing the car to get basic needs met, as well, the kids will have a fun and safe place to play (private lot) without constant need for supervision. The dunes protect them from being seen from the beach and the home keeps them from being near the street.
Make sure to check out the Fort Fisher Aquarium (Kure Beach), movies around the lake for kids on Sunday nights (in season and a short walk from my place) and all the great local attractions without having to leave the island. We have Farmer's Markets on Saturday mornings (in season) and a multitude of music and food festivals, all on island.

Adults can have fun by visiting one of a number of our local bar and grills. My favorite is the Sea Witch, where local and regional bands play, you can eat, listen and dance all night.
The Fat Pelican is a cool Beer dive, with an entire walk in cooler of craft and other beers to choose from. Walk in, pic anything you like and pay by the piece. A great locals place in the off season.
The Lazy Pirate is the other great local bar/grill. Good food, night life and their own volleyball courts make it a cool place to see and be seen.
