This is a comfortable house just a short walk to the beach. My family of four enjoyed our 1-week stay tremendously, walking to the lovely nearby beach at least daily. It's also within an easy drive to Charleston for museums and close to other beach towns. The kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfy. Only down sides: there were ants showing up daily, so we were very careful with our trash. Also this is the first vacation rental I have seen that did not provide beach towels. Other than that, it's a great spot. We had a wonderful time. I recommend!

The location is great! But that’s the only thing great about this property. The property had visible trash and dirty clothes under furniture from the previous tenants and visible mold in the shower. The whole property needs care and maintenance from holes in walls, dirty old furniture (some damaged), to missing electrical outlet covers, a drastically sagging floor in one bedroom, a sliding glass door that barely opens and a rather strong mildew smell throughout the house.

The location of this property is wonderful. It's an easy walk to two beach boardwalks. The unit was clean when we arrived, so there are no issues with cleanliness. This could be a really cute villa with some updates, but the place is just 'tired.' The furniture is old and smells of mildew, the bathrooms need new caulk (old is black and flaking off), the master suite needs a new mattress, and the door to the deck is in major need of some oil/work to make it easier to open. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of pots, utensils, etc., but do not leave any food out on the counter. We fought ants during our stay. I realize this is not a unique issue with beach homes, and the house did have ant spray which was helpful. We realized quickly that all opened food needed to be stored in the refrigerator. The company is responsive. The air conditioner went out, and they had someone out to repair it within 2-3 hours. Would our family stay here again? Yes, we would because of the proximity to the ocean, and I would bring sheets to cover the older chairs in the living space which, to me, smelled of mildew.

The location of this property is great. Very close beach access and biking trails. Easy walk to the Nest Markwt and Night Heron Park. The house however is a bit dated and needs updated. There was a moisture / humidity issue in the house. Furniture seemed to be damp the entire time we were there. New kitchen baking pans and utensils need to be added. There was no spatula to cook with amd the baking pans were very rusty, which made it hard ro cook and bake muffins. With a few updates and some maintenance this property would be great. The price was high for what it was. We were dissappointed with that once we got there and saw what we were dealing with. Cant beat the location though.

Cute little cottage in the heart of beautiful Kiawah. It was well equipped and comfortable. Short walk to the beach. A few things are showing their age but nothing a few repairs or updates couldn’t fix. Would stay here again.

The house was a great value for what it is —comfortable, with a bit of wear and tear. A few of the dishes weren’t clean and it seemed like the dishwasher hadn’t been run before our arrival. That said, we loved the location and the amount of space. It was very quiet, and the kids especially enjoyed the games and puzzles provided. A bike rack would have been a great addition, but overall it was a nice stay in a great spot.

Unfortunately I agree with the 4-6 star reviews. The wonderful thing about this property is that it’s so close to the beach! However, the house is in dire need of some TLC. As soon as we walked in we were hit with a musty smell which signals there’s a mold problem. The entry door has dirty fingerprints around lock. My husband had to go around with a broom to clear all the cob/spider webs from the ceiling and baseboards. The walls are very scraped/scuffed/marked up with one corner by the toilet in the master bathroom completely degraded, leaving a hole. The vanity mirror in the master bathroom also covers part of the outlets. The grout in the shower is filthy, the calking is covered with black mildew, and the floor grout around the pebble mosaic tile is very cracked. The valance in the master bedroom is broken and I made the mistake of looking underneath the bed to find an outlet extension (there wasn’t one). The wicker furniture had very visible caked on grime in the crevices. We had to place blankets on the couches because when we got up from sitting we felt damp. The last thing I’ll mention is that the furniture is extremely worn to the point of having holes. I’m sorry to say that it seems like the property owners/managers take no pride in what they offer and do below the bare minimum to ensure an enjoyable stay. I read the reviews prior to booking and figured with all the apologies made to each reviewer that the issues would have been addressed. Clearly not the case.

The proximity to the beach was excellent. We understand the deck/table was not complete at the time of our reservation. A table and chairs on the deck would have been optimal. The kitchen was very clean and new, I apprecaited that! The dining room table needs to be refinished/replaced - it was difficult to clean and enjoy a meal there. Baths were great. Several power outlets throughout the house would not hold an electrical plug, worn out??Biggest neg. the master bedroom mattress is completely past its prime - difficult to sleep on. We would return with the hope that some upgrades were made. Thank you
