New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Duneshine is a true gem. This polished rental home was designed with relaxation in mind! At ground level, find ample concrete parking, an outdoor shower, a beachfront grilling station, and a boardwalk to the beach. The first level features a cathedral ceiling bunk room with plenty of space for your crew. Three rooms have deck access, perfect to make your way to our six-person hot tub at the end of a day at the beach! The second level boasts a wonderful wood-lined great room with exposed beams and stunning ocean views. The spacious dining and kitchen areas share a beautifully tiled floor and are well equipped for culinary adventures. Off the kitchen, a south-facing screened porch is a wonderful location for early morning breakfasts. An elegant wooden spiral staircase leads you to this home's third-level loft bedroom, where a private deck offers unprecedented views of the Atlantic. Expansive decks on all three levels capitalize on the house's oceanfront location and allow for plenty of time relaxing or entertaining outside.

What a way to resolve an emergency... At the very last minute we had to cancel some other plans as the Beach we normally go to had an unexpected closure. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to get into a property in the OBX close to Buxton or Avon, but by a stroke of luck, this place was available and it was great! Right on the beach with great access to get you over the dune... A wonderful beach and the place had plenty of room for our family. So close to everything that we normally do down in the OBX. The hosts were great communicators and we would definitely consider coming back to this location/house. DuneShine was a pleasant surprise. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ocean view, especially the top sleeping area. Perfect setting for a relaxing stay with a walk to the shore any time you wanted to wet a line.

Hot tub unavailable for safety reasons. Thankfully, it was unseasonably warm, so I was able to walk the beach, in lieu of hot tub time. Cottage was clean. I had to secure all of the windows because they were not closed all of the way. I have been in many many Avon, NC rentals over the years and this was among the cleanest and coziest. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for a family of 5-10.

We’ve shared your note about the windows with housekeeping and maintenance so they’ll be double‑checked before future arrivals. They are crank outs and can be a bit finicky. We are pleased to hear the cottage was clean, cozy, and had plenty of space for your group and we look forward to you staying with us in the future .

Incredible House!

Access to the beach was close. The lounge chairs outside were great. Lots of windows, the house could use some updates but overall we enjoyed our stay. The parking is a little tough for 4 trucks. We would stay here again.

Duneshine was a perfect fit for our 2 family vacation. 4 adults and 7 kids slept comfortably. For a Beachfront property,the price was extremely reasonable. Needs a new grill, basketball hoop and updated decor. We were worried about not having a private pool, but club Hatteras was great!

We loved our 3 days here! Very comfortable. Beautiful views. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen as far as cooking wares. No spices were available. Only regret was our time was too short. Easy check in & checkout.

Awesome Location and House

The house was in a great location, convenient to everything! The house is very spacious and the decks are amazing. It is a very short walk to the beach. The kitchen could use some updates but all appliances worked. We did have some issues with the plaster on the ceiling but someone came out quickly to check it. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay in this property! The views were incredible and the location was conveniently located to restaurants & grocery stores. We pointed out some maintenance issues to Hatteras Realty and they quickly sent someone over to review them while we were there. This house will definately be on our "short list" for return visits! Great ocean front home

Very nice. Beautiful sunrise views. Walkway and stairs over the dunes make this very comfortable even for older people. Plenty of comfortable beds. Hot tub was awesome. Stovetop was dirty, but not a show stopper, and screened porch has two screens that are missing. Wasn't a problem for us but might make for a miserable time on the screened in porch once the mosquitos come out. Overall, a wonderful time at the beach.

First OBX trip

It was pricey for basically 3 full days. The property was dated and cleanliness was fair. We found pills from previous people I assume. One dish towel in kitchen and we cooked a lot so hard to use same one. Had to wash bath towels daily as well. The house was cozy and we did enjoy being right on the beach.

Overall, very satisfied

House is in a great location, reasonably priced, amenities are sufficient, the layout made it easy to find some privacy even with others in the house, kitchen was well stocked, beds were very comfortable, everything you need is within a 3 minute drive, and I would certainly consider staying here again. However, all is not perfect here.... Some mild upgrades, like new carpet and screen doors, blinds that work properly, and a thorough cleaning would greatly enhance this location. That said, we DID enjoy our stay.

Beyond perfection.

I've been vacationing at the Outer Banks for over 20 years, 10 of those in Avon. Duneshine exceeded my expectations and was by far the best home I have stayed in. Duneshine is a beautiful home with a lovely open living/kitchen area. The ocean is clearly seen on all levels. Four bedrooms and the living/kitchen areas are off the decks with breathtaking views of the ocean and dunes. Very easy walk to the beach. The kitchen is well-stocked. Comfortable beds and furniture. I didn't give it 5 stars because the kitchen could be a little cleaner (floor and cabinets drawers.) I would stay at Duneshine again without any hesitation. We had a marvelous vacation!
