Newly Re listed! The Serene Redwood Retreat is a spacious, peaceful, and tucked away second story studio (no separate bedroom) with gorgeous views of the redwood forest throughout the home. Surrounded by a backdrop of towering redwoods, you'll feel as though you've entered a story book with the thoughtful construction and touches of natural wood and stone to match the forest surroundings. Inside, the studio is open and roomy, with high ceilings and lots of natural filtered light and an enclosed bathroom. The home was built with comfort and luxury in mind with radiant floor heating, stone shower and solid comfortable furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, please note the fridge is a mini fridge with freezer. A perfect romantic getaway for two, or an idyllic solo retreat!

*The cottage is down the driveway from a main house where someone lives full time, each home has their own private and separate spaces.

i didnt get a chance to stay there due to illness but the owner was extremely nice and welcoming and responded to all emails quickly, i highly recommend him

This is an absolutely beautiful property amongst the redwood trees. Very quiet and peaceful setting that is close to town but feels like you’re in a primeval forest far away from civilization. The house décor is a mix of contemporary furniture pieces and antiques. The kitchen is stocked with basic items needed to make quick and easy meals. The bathroom has a great shower and everything was clean and ready for our stay. Our hosts, who were very helpful, did a fantastic job with communicating to us through emails and text messages. Overall, our stay was fabulous and we would not hesitate to stay hear again.

This adorable house exceeded all our expectations. That is why we’ve returned again and again whenever we come to visit Arcata. It’s beautiful, clean, and has all the accommodations of Home. The staff has gone above and beyond when we’ve asked for any little thing such as placemats. Not only did they buy the placemats, but they immediately brought them over. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

The property was stunning! Tucked away, private retreat that backs up to the Redwood forest. Cutest little quiet town at the bottom of the hill. And their local market called Murphy’s is open till 10 PM for everything else you might need! Staff is friendly and I highly recommend hitting their fresh deli market every day for *New and fresh food to snack and eat during your stay. The unit had both fridge and freezer available to us so we could bring back any leftovers from when we would eat out. When I cooked breakfast in the morning, they had all the utensils necessary. The only recommendation I would have for them is to get cast-iron cooking pans instead of stainless steel.
