My family spent the week at this rental property. The pictures showed the cottage to be well kept and spacious, and we found it to be exactly that. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms made it roomy enough for my family of four (with two older kids) without people bumping into each other. The cottage had a lot of the comforts of home, including ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, air conditioning units (2 and one portable), washer/dryer, flat screen TV, internet, and cable. We used the air conditioners in the afternoon on the days that the cottage got very warm, and the units cooled down the space very easily. It was also nice to sit out in the yard or on the deck in the rocking chairs. The bonus was the outdoor shower -- I expected it to be something to rinse off your feet, but it was a regular enclosed shower. It came in very handy after being at the beach all day.
The cottage is located on a cul de sac, so although it's right off of Route 1, it is very quiet. It is located under a mile from the shopping area, so it is definitely walkable. Footbridge beach is walkable as well, but crossing the street is a little tough when there is traffic. Most days one of us would drive people over the beach with all the gear and then walk back to the beach from the cottage. We also found Footbridge beach to be a quieter beach with less people than Ogunquit beach. That was certainly a plus.
The only thing that I felt was a little subpar was the mattress in the master bedroom; my husband and I didn't find it very comfortable.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay in a comfortable space. Dawn was very good with getting back to me with any questions I had, and she seemed very interested in making sure we enjoyed our time while we were there.
