Pros: Fishing off the dock great. We got to see dolphins a couple of massive sea turtles right under the deck. The sunsets were beautiful. Place was in good condition. AC worked great. Was well stocked with dishware silverware basics really liked the extra freezer.Can’t beat the location. Feel like it was worth the price based on the location if they made some minor repairs and installations to bring the place in line with what most fisherman expect. Fishing lights worked great although would recommend tilting them down a bit so they shine less across the water. Excellent number of rod holders across the dockCons: I will reiterate with another poster, which is they don’t have a ladder for you to board a kayak or boat or any tie downs, which was a bummer. Not a big expense to enhance the experience. Had some pretty unpleasant smells at times, like vomit. We were never able to determine where those smells were coming from. no Ice Maker. No light over the fish cleaning station - not really suitable to use when you catch fish at night. Power at cleaning station not working which is an issue for people who like to use electric knives for cleaning fish. We would gladly return if these items are addressed. Caught plenty of keeper specs, a big black drum, mangrove snappers, a couple of small reds and a puppy drum at night.

Thank you for sharing the highlights and areas where you feel this home could be improved. We’re so glad you enjoyed the incredible bayfront location, dock, fishing lights and rod holders, and especially the dolphins and sea turtles right outside your door! It sounds like you had a pretty fantastic fishing haul, too! We appreciate your feedback regarding the kayak/boat access and fish-cleaning station. We have actually tried adding cleats for tying up boats in the past, but unfortunately resulted in unauthorized boaters using the private dock to tie up and fish, so we made the decision to remove them. We understand that may be less convenient for guests bringing a boat or kayak, but protecting the private dock is important. Regarding the fish-cleaning station, the lights are currently working, and we were not aware of an issue with the power. We’ll definitely check both again to make sure everything is functioning properly. We’re sorry the occasional odor was unpleasant as well. Bayfront properties can come with some unique coastal smells depending on tides, weather and the surrounding environment, but we’ll certainly investigate to see if there is anything on the property contributing to it. Most importantly, we’re happy you enjoyed the location and felt it was worth the stay. This spot really is all about the bay, fishing, wildlife, sunsets and getting out there to see what you can catch!

The best location and best for fishing!

We stayed here during Thanksgiving break and absolutely loved it! Lots of fish and house was very nice. Definitely coming back!

Great location! Fishing is great right on the main bay with pier. That is what we came for. The house is not as fancy or finished as others, but if you don’t need that this place was no frills awesome! Everything you need, nothing you don’t. Just sitting on the pier you’ll see dolphins, and sea turtles.

The refrigerator did not work. After 6 days it was replaced. Some of the main lights on the dock did not work. Most of the window shades were broken. The mattresses need to be replaced.

Thank you for allowing us to host you, Joyce. We're disappointed you didn't enjoy your time more and couldn't find something nice to share about your bayfront experience. We hope you at least had some great catches out on the dock. That said, respectfully, it seems we have some discrepancies on the timeline and details of your stay. You contacted us on Sunday regarding the refrigerator, and once diagnosed, had a brand new refrigerator on Tuesday. To our calculation, that is 2 days and pretty darn quick especially given our island location. While we completely understand the inconvenience, this home does offer a separate deep freeze you were able to put your items in, as well as you shared you had coolers you could use in the meantime. To be transparent, you also contacted us that same Sunday to say the coffee maker wasn't working properly. Our field manager was there in less than 3 hours with a brand new one. As for dock lights not working, we are not aware of any issue, nor was this reported. Perhaps you accidentally turned them off (they are on a photocell). Regarding the mattress, it is less than a year old; however, we do understand desired firmness is subjective. We do appreciate you staying at our home.

No frills place but we were comfortable during our stay! House was clean and the A/C blows cold. We loved the location and fishing off the dock every night or just sitting and watching the birds and dolphins cruising by and enjoying the gorgeous views…especially the sunsets! The hosts were excellent and very responsive whenever contacted which is very much appreciated. House is nothing fancy and could use some updates but the location can’t be beat. I would definitely recommend! We hope to come back in the future.

Great fishing and family and pet friendly!

We had a great family fishing weekend. The online agreements and paperwork was awful but the stay was good. It had plenty of kayaks and an awesome dock. It actually had more stuff than listed in the paperwork.

The Sea Trout over looking a beautiful sunset!!

We love staying at the sea trout!! One of the best places to stay in treasure island!! You can go fishing right in the backyard!! You can also Barbecue and eat in the great picnic area they have set up for you!! You also have a fabulous time looking at the sun rise and sunset set in!! Thank You, The Gomez and Salinas family

Great Family Stay

Our family loved staying at this property. The private fishing pier was the highlight of the trip. The family caught many varieties of fish including sharks, flounder, trout, stink ray, and catfish. The property was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food for the week. A short drive to beach swimming areas. We had a wonderful time and will be returning again this coming summer.

Get away

Super helpful management rep on checking in. They made my error all right with reassurance and kindness! Other than one night of very loud neighbors, was a great location. We had a great time at the house! Will be back!
