This stylish apartment offers a private street entrance, free parking, full kitchen, smart TV, fast WiFi, and workspace ideal for remote stays. The Space:
Welcome to your modern retreat in Hill East, one of Washington, D.C.’s most charming and well-connected neighborhoods.
Walk from the apartment to Lincoln Park, stop for a coffee at Wine & Butter, and finish your stroll at the Capitol all within minutes. The basement is a spacious, studio-style apartment that has been recently renovated with a modern, tasteful touch. It offers complete privacy with its own entrance directly from the street, fully separate from the upstairs unit.
Inside, the open layout feels both comfortable and stylish, designed for relaxation after a day of exploring the city. You’ll find:
• A cozy sleeping area with a comfortable bed and smart TV
• A fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, and coffee maker
• A modern bathroom with fresh towels and essentials
• High-speed WiFi and a dedicated workspace for remote work
• A charming front patio, perfect for morning coffee or a quiet evening outdoors
Located minutes from Capitol Hill, H Street Corridor, and Union Market, this studio blends residential calm with proximity to D.C.’s top attractions.
Private entrance directly from the street. Guests will have the convenience of free street parking as well (just let us know in advance so we can register your vehicle!)
Guest Access:
You’ll have self check-in through a secure smart lock installed at the entrance of the property. A unique access code will be provided before your arrival, allowing you to check in easily and independently, no need to coordinate with anyone in person.
This offers you flexibility, privacy, and a seamless arrival experience, even if you arrive late or outside of standard hours.
The Neighborhood:
Hill East is a quiet, historic neighborhood just east of Capitol Hill known for its beautiful tree-lined streets, elegant rowhouses, and friendly, walkable atmosphere. You’ll find Lincoln Park just a few blocks away, perfect for morning jogs or picnics, and local gems like Wine & Butter, The Roost, and The Pretzel Bakery offer excellent coffee, pastries, and brunch.
Within minutes, you can explore the H Street Corridor, famous for its restaurants, bars, and live music, or reach Eastern Market and Barracks Row for local produce and boutique shopping. Despite being so close to the heart of D.C., Hill East keeps a peaceful, residential vibe, making it a favorite among travelers who want to feel like locals.
Step into the timeless allure of Capitol Hill - Kingman Park, where history comes to life amidst the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol and historic Eastern Market. This charming neighborhood boasts well-preserved row houses, cobblestone streets that lead to the Lincoln Park, and close proximity to landmarks like Barracks Row and the historic Congressional Cemetery, not to mention the Capitol itself and the National Mall. H Street, Navy Yard, and Union Market are all within walking and cycling distance!
You'll be located in a historical and lively residential neighborhood, with quiet tree-lined streets, but also summertime fireworks, a community garden, and its own panda bear! (just a statue though)
Top 5 Hang-out recs:
1. Lincoln Park and East Capitol Street (0.5 miles)--Lincoln Park is a charming tree-lined park. Walk from there down East Capitol Street, where you can view beautiful historic row homes with a direct sight line to the Capitol.
2. Anacostia River Walk Trail (0.5 miles)--A fantastic hidden treasure, this is a network of trails that run along the Anacostia River. You can follow the paths south to the Navy Yard.
3. Barracks Row (1.4 miles)--The most Capitol Hill aspect of Capitol Hill, buzzing with quaint shops and eateries. Call Your Mother is a local favorite for bagels and schmear.
4. National Mall (1.5 miles)--Walk from the Capitol Building along the full length of the National Mall to take in all the historic landmarks and over a dozen museums. The US Botanical Garden is one of my favorite: less than 2 miles from your Airbnb and just after you pass the Capitol Building.
5. The Navy Yard (1.7 miles)--One of the largest and newest developments in DC, the Navy Yard has cute shops, ice cream parlors, fancy restaurants, and large venues for concerts and performances.
Kingman Park was officially designated a Historic District in June 2018, distinguishing its place in Washington DC's urban development history and recognizable rows of single-family homes characterized by front porches and variations in cornices and rooflines. The neighborhood is ideally located at close proximity of the restaurants and bars of H Street Corridor, and the parks, trails and open air activities in Kingman and Heritage Islands.
Getting Around:
Transportation is easy! Options include:
1. Off-street parking at the property, allowing you to park your vehicle and drive around the city.
2. Two bus stations within a block of the property, allowing METRO access.

4. DC Streetcar / Trolley to Union Station and along H St/Benning Rd., a 10-min walk
5. Multiple bike share and scooter share docking stations within a couple blocks. The bike share includes e-bikes, which offer a fast and convenient way to explore the city.
Other Things to Note:
You’ll be perfectly connected to Washington’s main attractions:
