Hi and welcome!
I’m Mel, and I share this beautiful, sun-filled home with my partner, Fabrizio, and our 7-year-old son. We’re opening up our 3-bedroom family home to guests — a warm and welcoming space perfect for a short getaway or a longer stay. Long term discounts available.
Here’s what you’ll find:
• Main bedroom with a comfy queen-size bed and a private ensuite with walk-in shower.
• Second bedroom with a double bed - perfect for kids or flexible sleeping arrangements.
• Third bedroom with a queen bed
The second and third bedroom share the main bathroom with separate shower and bath.
Our space is fully equipped for everyday living — including a covered back deck and an undercover clothesline, so you won’t need to dash out in the rain to grab the washing!
It sleeps up to 4-5 people comfortably, making it an ideal base for a family (2 adults + 2/3 kids), or anyone looking for a cosy, well-located Melbourne stay.
*We are in a block of villa units where we are joined to the neighbouring unit on both sides. No parties or loud gatherings are permitted. Please respect our lovely neighbours.
Located just 8km from the city, we’re well connected by public transport:
• Train: Fairfield and Alphington stations are a 10–15 minute walk away, with trains to the city taking about 15–20 minutes.
• Bus: Route 546 stops at the end of our street and runs directly to Melbourne Uni and Queen Vic Market via Carlton and Clifton Hill.
• Car: Quick access to the Eastern Freeway, Fitzroy, Carlton (hello Lygon Street!), and the Dandenong Ranges. It’s about a 15-minute drive to the CBD, depending on traffic.
You’ll find ducted heating throughout for Melbourne’s cooler nights, and air conditioning in two bedrooms and the lounge for summer comfort.
There’s free 2-hour street parking during the day (no restrictions overnight), and driveway parking available (please note: no garage access).
We’re also close to some lovely local spots — Fairfield Village is just 10–15 minutes’ walk and full of great cafes and shops. We recommend Kissaten (just around the corner) or Hoppa & Joe on Heidelberg Road. You can also walk to the beautiful Fairfield Boathouse and explore the Yarra River trails on foot or bike.
We love helping guests discover Melbourne and are happy to offer tips or directions to make your stay easy and memorable.
We’ve travelled around the world ourselves in places like London, Chile, Italy and Brazil, and love meeting people through this community. It’s a great way to experience local life — and we’re excited to share a bit of ours with you.
Please feel free to message with any questions — we’re always happy to help.
Looking forward to welcoming you!
Mel
