I'm Cyndy - an architect by trade, a keen traveller, and a host of seven years.

Design is what I do professionally, and it shapes how I set up every place I let. I pay attention to how a room takes the light, whether the kitchen is one you would genuinely want to cook in, and whether there is a comfortable spot to sit with a coffee in the morning.

Because I travel a lot myself, I know what actually matters when you arrive somewhere new: getting in without a fuss, a properly made bed, wifi that works, and a host who replies. Every one of my properties has self check-in so you can arrive on your own schedule, and I am contactable if anything comes up during your stay.

I studied at the University of Melbourne and know this city well, so do ask for recommendations. I am always happy to point guests towards the cafes, walks and neighbourhood spots I would send a friend to.

North Melbourne is the city fringe done properly.

Royal Park is a five minute walk from the door and the University of Melbourne about twelve, with Queen Victoria Market around seventeen minutes on foot. Macaulay Station is a quarter of an hour away and the CBD is a few minutes by car. It is a suburb of Victorian terraces and wide streets - close enough to walk into the middle of the city, quiet enough to sleep.

I studied at the University of Melbourne, so this part of town is familiar ground for me. It makes an easy base whether you are here for the markets, a game at Marvel Stadium or the MCG, or for work in the city.

A light filled Victorian home behind a high hedge and cast iron lacework, with a soaring arched hallway and the period details kept intact - original fireplaces, ceiling roses, restored timber floors - alongside the modern comforts.

Four bedrooms each with a queen bed, plus an open study with two super single sofa beds, sleeping ten in total. Two bathrooms and a separate WC, with an ensuite and walk-in robe off the master. The northeast facing rear living area catches sun through the seasons, and French doors open onto a dual level courtyard with a plumbed-in barbecue.

There is a checked tile kitchen with upgraded appliances, gas heating, split system cooling, motorised blinds in the master, a laundry, a home office, and a central bar with cellar storage. Off-street parking comes off the rear lane, which is a rare thing this close to the city.
