Boat Requirements & Marina Rules – Unit #24

Guests bringing or renting a boat during their stay should review the following marina rules:

Deeded Slip: This unit includes one 35-ft boat slip. All boats must fit fully within the slip and between the dock tabs.

Single Slip Use: Renting two units to use side-by-side slips for a larger boat is not permitted. Each reservation is limited to the assigned slip.

Maximum Boat Size:

Length: 35 ft overall, including bow roller and anchor (based on manufacturer’s model length)

Width (beam): 10 ft

Finger Slips: Boats using finger slips (even without tabs) are measured by overall manufacturer length and must not exceed 35 ft.

Required Bumpers/Fenders: Rental boats must have at least three (3) bumpers/fenders, properly placed at the bow, spring, and stern. Boats without proper bumpers cannot remain in the marina.

Damage Responsibility: Guests are fully responsible for any damage to docks, slips, or other vessels. Damages must be covered via insurance or paid out of pocket.

Boat Tags & Notice: Tags are not issued same day. A minimum of 24 hours’ advance notice is required. Boats arriving without approval or tags will be turned away.

Age Requirement (Motorized Boats 10 HP+): Operators born on or after January 1, 1988 must complete an FWC-approved boating safety course and carry a Boating Safety ID Card and valid photo ID.

Please notify us in advance if you plan to bring or rent a boat so we can ensure all approvals are in place before arrival.

*Max occupancy is the number of occupants the City allows and does not guarantee beds for that number. Please read the bedroom and bed descriptions thoroughly.

*Seasonal Seaweed Notice: Like much of the Florida Keys, our canal can experience seaweed at certain times of the year. On the ocean side, this usually happens in summer/fall while gulf-side canals see it more in winter/spring. It’s a natural part of the area and may affect the canal during your stay.
