This property was adequate. It had the right number of bedrooms, wifi and was convenient to Grand Junction but I would not stay here again. Upon arrival, we noted the downstairs carpet was very stained and the couch also had faint stains on it. There were crumbs on the dining room and kitchen floor. The bathrooms and Kitchen were sufficiently clean but there were no towels in the downstairs half bath. Outside, large weeds, over 12 inches tall ringed the turf area and sidewalk lending a very unkempt look to the backyard. The trash on the side of the house was overflowing. On a positive note, there was a basket of snacks, tea, and coffee on the counter. The park out the back looked lovely, but I did not do my due diligence before reserving and failed to note the very noisy I-70 directly on the other side of the park. The traffic noise was very noticeable in the back bedrooms, so much so we could not open the windows. The earlier problem of a lack of cooking supplies seems to have been resolved as there were quite a few pots and pans to choose from- of varying quality. I will mention, that in the binder for the home was something I have never seen in all our years of renting- an itemized inventory of everything in the house, by room, with a replacement cost beside it! While recognizing this a is a business, that did not leave a welcoming impression. There were many, many throw pillows and nicely coordinating comforters on the beds but only one mostly flat pillow per person to actually sleep on. No extras pillows or pillow cases were provided in any closet, nor were there extra sheets for the other beds. In our opinion, The whole house is set up strangely, with the King bed upstairs sharing a bath and not in the downstairs master. To get upstairs, you climb 3/4 of a set of stairs and then the stairs split- climb one way to a sitting room and bedroom and climb the other way to two other bedrooms, with a jack and jill bath in between them. All 3 upstairs bedrooms, which sleep 6-7 people, we suppose, are to share the upstairs bath. It is highly inconvenient in the middle of the night to have to go down 8 stairs, up 8 stairs and through another sleeping person's bedroom to use the toilet- in the dark! On the plus side, we did not run out of hot water, the wifi worked and the air conditioning kept us cool when needed. Besides the layout of the house and the traffic noise, the remaining issues can be easily resolved by the rental company.
