The cliffs

The property itself was great. We had a lovely time. The unit was well stocked and very comfortable for my family. After traveling all day, however, it was frustrating to not be able to check in at 4:00 as expected. We had to wait till almost 5:00 to get into the unit. The front desk staff was helpful in allowing us to put our groceries in their fridge/freezer so we didn't lose everything we bought.

Great Place to Stay

Very clean and easy to enjoy. Management was great, and location was nice. Only negative, and it is minor, is no BBQ tools, no condiments at all, no ice (ran the maker though), and no items like foil or plastic wrap.

Great Location with a Wonderful View

The Cliffs is a very nice complex with very nice people and a very helpful staff. The grounds are very well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this location.

Terrific spot on the North Shore

We were very happy with our stay at the Cliffs at Princeville. Great condo in a terrific location, with easy access to Hanalei and the rest of the northern coast. The condo had everything we needed and was a great home for a week in Kauai.

Wonderful unit in The Cliffs

We have stayed at multiple units in The Cliffs and this ranks as one of the best. View was great and property was clean and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful view

This apartment had the best view! Overall, my family had a great stay. The surrounding was breathtaking and perfect for walks. We really appreciated the beach toys/chairs. Beautiful pool area. A few things they can make better: provide new/better towels (the towels provided were super old and looked dirty), provide plates/mugs that can be microwaveable (after searching, we found a large plate that can be used in the microwave), provide over safe items for baking, leave extra toilet paper rolls, provide liquid detergent, leaky fridge with water dripping into all our food. Also note, this apartment is on the second floor so need to carry all your luggage. Also, the second bedroom is loft style with a steep stair case so not ideal for elderly and families with little kids need to be careful.

Amazing views and spacious

Overall our stay was very nice in a great location with beautiful views. The home was updated with newer furniture in the main area and a few nice upgrades like flooring and decor. The refrigerator was old and dirty tho. The kitchen was supplied with typical cheap rental items - horrible knives. The beds were very uncomfortable bouncy and very hard. The amenities were lacking with thread bare towels. I expected better amenities considering the cost of the rental. We checked in on Saturday and were told they “cleaned” our room on Monday! We needed fresh towels and cleaning midway through our stay not ion day 2. The space was nice for our group and we stayed here to be near family staying at Cliffs Club so it worked out for our needs.

Nice unit with great view

The unit was perfect for our family. We have plenty of room for the 6 of us. The weather was a little bad this week but the location has many activities that we did when we couldn’t go explore Kauai.

Great Stay!

The check-in process was easy. The condo was as described and clean. The view from the balcony was our favorite. We made use of the grills at the complex to cook a few dinners for the family. We watched sunsets in the evening from the many Adirondack chairs that line the cliff by the grill.

Nice spacious rental

Condo was nice and clean. Bed was super comfortable (on the firm side). Spacious rooms. Beautiful view. Instructions and notes could use some updating (remote control instructions need to be updated). Did not see the Beach Equipment closet on the front porch until we were leaving we for sure would have used the chairs, floaties, and other beach toys in there! Shower heads are little extreme shoots out really sharp streams of water. Overall a nice little rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at the Cliffs but had a couple of complaints. The very good was that the place was spotlessly clean and was even closer to the ocean than the photos showed. Wide angle photos made the ocean seem far away and it was not. We spent 80% of our time on the outside balcony enjoying the sunrises and the fabulous views. The unit was well equiped with beach chairs and towels, boogie boards, fins and snorkels. Our complaints were with the bathroom exhaust fans that ran 24/7 and were very noisy. We had to close the bathroom doors to minimize the sound but still heard the fan while trying to sleep. We were told by maintenance that the noisy fans have been an issue since the complex was built in 1980. In addition, the unit was not very well stocked for 4 guests spending a week (a single roll of paper towels, 3 oz. of dish soap, two loads of laundry detergent, etc.).We still enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again but with lower expectations.

Great condo and location!

Loved the view of ocean from our balcony and the amenities at the complex (pool, tennis and other game courts, etc.). Very nice place to stay!

Great Location and Beautiful Views!

We just had an incredible 2 weeks at this property. Perfect location on the 3rd floor which gives you gorgeous views and a non stop ocean breeze. I was nervous about not having A/C but not an issue at all because of the wonderful breeze and floor fans included. We as a family of 4 had everything we needed....comfortable eating area inside and out and also included plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie board and more. We cannot to stay here again!
