We had a great stay at the cabin. The cabin was easy to find and very clean. It felt very homely and enjoyable. We are planning on coming back next year if possible. A lot to do in a weeks time with in about 45 minutes to the cabin.

Simply Perfect!

My family of 6 totally enjoyed our stay at this property! The cabin was perfect for our needs - we enjoyed playing games and eating breakfast on the screened in porch, walking down to the lake and going to area attractions such as Mammoth Cave & horseback riding at Jesse James Riding Stables. My son loved playing on the Xbox and my girls loved sleeping in the loft upstairs. Quaint, quiet location but close to those bigger attractions. Absolutely recommend staying here - you will not be disapointed!

Nice, Quiet, and Friendly

The house is awesome, kids especially enjoyed the loft and taking walks down the path to the lakeshore. We found a TON of Indian artifacts down by the shore. Indian beads and arrowheads. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, lakeside vacation.

Perfect Getaway

The house was perfect, we really enjoyed our time here. The screened-in porch was a great place to have our morning coffee and discussion on what to do that day. The kitchen had all we needed to cook and relax. What a great place!

BooFest 2021

Oct is that time of year for a great family gathering! Its now our traditional BooFest extravaganza filled with 3 days of family, friends and fun! So awesome to be able to rent this great cabin so close to us at Barren river! It's layout is awesome for part of our family with 2 couples with kiddos, 2 bedrooms downstairs and a loft to house the little ones! Would highly recommend this great place! Bring a golf cart for all day riding around the community!

We had a great time, owner's were extremely polite and friendly.

It was what we read in the ad. Owners were able to accommodate our early arrival. They also replied quickly through email and were very nice. We recommend this cabin to any family looking to get away for a very peaceful, quiet and clean place. Thank you again for the great family memories!!

Good Times!

Cabin offered everything we needed for making 3 meals a day. Rooms were comfortable and front porch was lovely. The only thing I can say a little negative is that the Beds in the upstairs loft were a little bit uncomfortable. Other than that, good time was had by all!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this bright, sunny, and serene property. The kitchen is great to cook and gather around in, the beds are super comfy, the enclosed front porch is the best relaxing spot, the owners are so easy to communicate with, and there’s plenty of entertainment inside when you’re ready to wind down for the day. My biggest suggestion to future renters is to have what you need ahead of time (food wise) because it’s not exactly a “quick” run to the store when you need something. All in all, I would definitely recommend this property if you’re looking for peace and quiet and a place to get away from it all. Bonus is that it’s right next to the lake if you’re looking for some water-based fun.

Two week stay.....so nice🥰

We had family come and visit us. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen had all the utensils required for cooking. Thank you for getting the wifi, I was able to get work done as well👍🏻

Excellent!

My family (4 total- 2 kids) met my in-laws here for Thanksgiving. It was a great cabin to stay in. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the lake is close by and great to go walk by.

Family fun!

We rented this cabin for extra room for our family get together. It was perfect! The cabin was clean and had all amenities needed plus some! The weather was perfect and we had a fabulous weekend! Nice Cabin!

We enjoyed our trip to Barren River Lake. The cabin is really nice. Remember to watch your head in the loft. It is located in a unique neighborhood that appears to be under renovation. There are houses next to you that are fairly close to this property. The neighbors are great. The lake is accessible via a short 10 minute walk. I would recommend Narrows Marina if you are interested in renting a pontoon... great equipment and staff. Our family had an all around good week. Thank you!

Great property, location & price!

I enjoyed the layout of the cabin. Two bedrooms downstairs and a large loft upstairs allows the kids to all stay in the same place. The screened in porch was a really nice place to enjoy the beautiful weather

Better than expected

My family and in laws stayed here over a holiday weekend. The cabin was well equipped with more than we expected. My husband and I have stayed at enough places that we tend to "bring the kitchen sink" just in case. But all we really needed were clothes and food. The lake is within walking distance, the neighborhood is nice and neighbors are friendly. Overall a fantastic weekend and would definitely recommend this place.
