The Space:

You'll be within easy walking distance of the beach and everything in downtown Rockaway Beach at this dog-friendly home - a great choice for a family in search of its next Oregon Coast adventure! Enjoy views of the ocean, access to the beach less than a block away, and everything you need to feel right at home, including a flatscreen cable TV and free WiFi. Outside, you can kick back on the deck, relax in the sunshine, and light the gas grill for barbecues with loved ones.



What's nearby:

This house sits half a block from a beach access point, and less than a quarter-mile from the heart of downtown Rockaway Beach. Explore numerous dining options and fun shops in town, visit the International Police Museum, or catch a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. The fishing village of Garibaldi is five miles south, where you can pick up some fresh local seafood at the Garibaldi Marina. The town of Tillamook - and the famous Tillamook Creamery - is 13 miles south as well.

Happy place vacation

This was a great place to stay. So much more then we expected clean, roomy, lots of kitchen stuff, but the very best just steps from the ocean. Thank you for being pet friendly. An for a great stay.

Great house, great location!

Spent a couple of nights here with my sister, mom and our dogs. We had such a great time. I love that it's pet friendly! It's so close to the beach and all the shops. Will definitely be back!

Family crabbing trip

Great location...not on the beach but very cloae to it. Walking distNce to restaurabts and shops. House had everything we needed. We would definitively stay there again.

Great stay!!

This was a very nice property. Extremely close to beach access. The Beach was not over crowded and just beautiful! There were a couple inconveniences with the property but nothing unbearable. Plenty of amenities we didn't even have to worry about if we forgot anything it was all there!!

Beautiful spot just across the street from the beach.

Nice size house for our big group of 9, love the access to the beach just up the street. They had beach toys for the kids to use at the beach which was awesome. Few issues during our stay but nothing real huge to make me cancel my stay. Would rent again from them, even this house.

Our Happy Place Rockaway Beach

This is a no frills house but very comfortable and very well appointed with everything you might need. Really close beach access (you do have to go down some rock ‘steps’ which might be challenging for some people although it was pretty easy, if you need easier access the public beach parking is a minute drive away). Being so close to the town with easy walk ability to restaurants, shops, stores etc. is awesome, you really never have to get in your car!

Lovely Place

My wife and I stayed there for three nights, and found it to be just right for us. Everything was clean and in good order. We also really appreciated the proximity to the beach, as well as numerous activities and attractions a short drive away. Overall it's a fine place with a great location. I'd love to go back and stay again, and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks!

It was everything we hoped for!

Our goal for this vacation was to celebrate one’s birthday and to give our elderly dog one last trip to the beach. We were so happy that dogs were accepted and the accommodations were perfect. Close to beach access, home was neat and clean and very well organized. Our dog Smokey had a great time and we are so very grateful for this last opportunity with him.

Super nice, clean, organized and cozy house! Very close to the beach and with walking distance to the mall, restaurants, gift shops, etc ... One thing that bothered me was the check out time at 10 am, it should be around noon or 1pm I think you should more flexible and understanding about the hours, because it isn't an hotel so why not be more flexible about it to make a great customer experience? Overall it's a great place and the bed's mattress are so comfortable!

Exceeded expectations

We were greated with the smell of a freshly cleaned house. The walk to the beach & shopping was closer than expected. The house had everything we needed and very dog friendly. I was expecting tight living & sleeping spaces but that wasn't the case.

Great location, comfy place

Great location, nice house, comfy beds,l. 5 minutes distance of walking to any store, restaurants, 2 minutes walk to the beautiful beach. It was very windy the whole time we were there :( and our first night there was a power outage… there is only only one big flashlight and one tiny one. Would be nice to have like a lanterns for cases like that. Also would be nice to have a full size mirror, clock and iron.

Great stay

The house is super clean and very well stocked. The kitchen had better quality pans than I do at home. There was not one thing about which we said, “I wish they had…”. Some of the furniture wasn’t very comfortable but with enough choices we all could find our space. Beach access was near by, you could see the ocean waves from the front room and the sounds of them at night did their magic. My only complaint would be the 10am check out. That is just too early to get up and get it all together, and out the door.

Lovely house across the street from the beach

House was great, location was awesome 😎 easy to access the beach. About a 25 minute walk to Twin Rocks but able to see it from the moment your feet touch the sand at their beach access point. Walkable places to eat food all around and extremely close. We had Taco pizza from Upper Crust which you can see out the upstairs bedroom window and can see the beach from the Master bedroom. Beds were super comfortable and has two bathrooms making it easy for anybody to use the restroom. Has a laundry room, if you need to wash clothes. Shower was roomy and water was hot. One thing I would say that needed upgraded; would be the size of the TV, thankfully we brought a projector with a screen. Other than that insignificant problem, lots of room in the house, kitchen was adequate and very clean. Also communication with the host was easy and received a quick response, even offered early check-in which was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Vacasa and VRBO, I definitely will be staying again. 😀

The "Happy" Place at Rockaway Beach

My overall impression is that I will not rent this particular home again. While it was clean and ample, it did have some issues such as a roof leaking water into the utility room( and of course it rained each day and night), and there were small ants that were on the countertops in the kitchen AND they also were on my nightstand next to the bed( which is on the second floor). Last irritant was that the coffemaker simply no longer functions properly. I know, I know, this sounds petty, but when the other partner wants morning coffee and makes my life miserable, the simple solution is to replace it with a new one. That said, the house had great hot water stores for showering and doing laundry. Overall, its an "OK" rental that could be made so much better with some simple improvements.

Not as great as it could have been

The property has a good location. What we noticed though right away pulling up was that the grass hadn't been cut in ages, it was over a foot tall. Definitely could have looked better and been cut than walking over the long grass. Walking into the house, it had a really bad smell. I know pets were allowed there but it definitely had that pet smell. Other things: super dirty behind the futon, sand in one bed, mold on the shower curtain, hair on cooking utensils, the fridge leaked water on the floor constantly, the stair railing was coming out of the wall, etc. I was expecting it to be pretty clean like a hotel but I guess everyone's ideas of clean are different. It was not up to par though as a rental with different people coming in and out. It was a disappointment for how much money we paid for the week. :(
