Spacious, well-appointed apartment with kind and communicative host
Dianne's apartment is spotless and includes a (for New York) spacious living area and fully equipped kitchen as well as two full bedrooms. My family of four occupied it comfortably and we were also able to host my in-laws for coffee without feeling too cramped. There is an EXCELLENT supermarket nearby as well as a laundromat, drugstore, several playgrounds, subways (ABCD and 3), and buses (M2, M3, M10). Dianne checks her guests in and out personally, and is a very kind person: when I took a wrong turn on the way to her apartment and got lost, she stayed on the phone with me and talked me through the route until I got there! She also checked in with us regularly during our stay to make sure everything was OK.
Dianne is strict about the apartment rules, which is surely why the apartment is still in mint condition despite hosting short-term guests. When booking, I was unable to find the rules on the VRBO website in full (the text gets cut off partway through) so here they are:
RULES
The most important thing I want is for you and your family to feel at home and have the best time during your stay at my place. Here are the Rules; I'd appreciate you following.

Check-Out is at 11AM. NO EXCEPTIONS! Late check-outs will result in extra fees at owner's discretion.
- Check-In is between 3PM-8:45Pm $25.00 FEE FOR ANY CHECK-IN BEFORE 3PM And After 8:45PM
I hope all our guests have a comfortable stay. When you arrive the sheets and beds are clean and KITCHEN ready. I WIIL LIKE YOU TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR SELF!
I'm only renting my apartment out for vacation purposes, for guests and Family that is visiting New York City that we agree too. ANY OTHER GUEST 'S THAT STAY IN THE APARTMENT YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHANGED ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $50.00,PER PERSON FROM YOUR DEPOSIT.
PLEASE!!! put all food in the refrigerator especially if it is in an opened container or bag. I have no roaches or pest and want to keep it that way!
Do not leave any appliance on if you are not in the apartment.
Do not dispose of anything like tampons, diapers, or paper towels in the toilet. Only toilet paper please! Use the garbage can.
Do not lose the keys to the apartment. $55.00 Lost key FEE
PLEASE make sure all windows are CLOSED and locked when you are leaving the apartment. And that shades are down and closed.
Marie the cleaning lady will come in once or twice during your stay to change the linens and clean the bathroom.
