The layout of the house was good for the size of our group. We had issues with all 3 showers - maintaining temp, stained shower curtain, not enough water pressure. The toilets were pretty low and not standard size. The house was comfortable and allowed our large group to have space and a bed for all.

Thank you for your feedback Carrie. We were genuinely surprised to read these comments, especially since we reached out after your arrival to make sure everything was going well and to let you know we were available if you needed anything. At no point did you mention any of these concerns or give us the opportunity to address them. Had you let us know, we would have gladly explained the shower controls or assisted with anything else. While one shower's temperature can take a moment to dial in, we've hosted many large groups who either figured it out quickly or simply reached out, and we've always been happy to help. We're also a bit confused by the comment regarding the toilets, as they are standard residential toilets installed in the home. We were pleased to hear the home's layout was comfortable for your large group and that everyone had plenty of space and a bed. Our goal at Heights Haven Retreat is always to provide a great experience, and we encourage guests to communicate any issues during their stay so we have the opportunity to make things right rather than learning about them only after checkout. Thank you again.

The house was very comfortable and laid out especially well for family with kids. Upper level included TV room right next to bunk bedroom, giving them their own comfy space, while adults enjoyed main level sitting area. Large table with plenty of seating was extra nice. Additional rec area in basement gave plenty of options for spaces to hangout. There were a few maintenance issues, but the hosts were responsive and great at checking in with us, welcoming our feedback they so they could address issues quickly.

Kim & Curt, Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're so glad the layout worked well for your family and that everyone from the kids to the adults, had their own space to relax and enjoy their stay. We designed the home to be comfortable for larger groups, so it's wonderful to hear that the different gathering areas and large dining table made a difference. We also appreciate you letting us know about the maintenance items during your stay. We believe the best way to host is to be available, responsive, and continuously improve the experience for our guests, so your feedback was truly appreciated. Thank you again for choosing Heights Haven Retreat. We'd love the opportunity to host you and your family again in the future!

It was in phenomenal property and it served its purpose perfectly. We were there for a INLA event with five guys each had their own room and we were able to play pool downstairs at night when we got back from our hard work as volunteers thank you so much. We did however, accidentally take the paperwork for the check-in as it was in one of the boxes so I’m gonna overnight that back to you tomorrow. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

The house was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms are spread out between the 3 stories so the kids were able to have the basement bedrooms/ game room to themselves with their own bathroom. They loved that. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and with 6 people, the tankless hot water was great. I ran in the neighborhood several times and never felt unsafe. It was only 10 minutes to the Deaconess Aquatic center (and baseball field). The AC & WiFi worked well. The beds were all comfortable, even the bunk beds. There is a super Walmart less than 10 minutes away. I accidentally had groceries delivered way too soon and the host was very gracious and had someone go over and put it in the fridge. This saved us hundreds of dollars. Thank you Matt & Katie for a wonderful stay!

Communication with the host was great.Large home fit all 11 of us across three floors.Top floor: 1 room with queen bed, 1 room with 2 bunk beds - mattresses on bunk beds are tall so there really isn’t a barrier to keep someone from falling off and there is a ceiling fan right above one of them, loft area with tv, and 1 bathroom with tub.Main floor: 1 room with queen bed and a very large closet, living room, bathroom with tub, dining area, and kitchen - no dishwasher.Basement: game room with tv and pool table, 2 bedrooms with full beds, and bathroom with shower.None of the bedrooms have TVs.We were able to fit three cars - 2 in the driveway and one out front.House does have a nice backyard, we just didn’t use it.We were able to get in and out of the house with ease - the door lock worked perfectly every time, this has been a struggle with previous VRBOs we’ve stayed in.
