Strings & Streams is a luxury creekfront cabin on trout-filled Mountaintown Creek in Ellijay’s Coosawattee River Resort. Stairs into the river to soak your toes in a slice of nature.

Relax in the private hot tub, gather by the fireplaces, or enjoy movie nights and pool games in the game room.

Set within a 5,500-acre resort, guests enjoy access to Beaver Lake Pond for fishing, scenic hiking trails, river and waterfall views, and abundant wildlife. The community also offers access to the Coosawattee River for kayaking and tubing, along with two outdoor pools, an indoor pool at the recreation center, a large game room, miniature golf, tennis courts, and a basketball court.

We provide two resort passes, each allowing access for up to four guests (eight guests total). If your group exceeds eight, additional passes can be purchased. These passes grant access to resort amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, an adults-only pool, and the recreation center.

Parking is easy with several options available. You can drive down and park right outside the cabin; there is a short, slightly steeper gravel slope at the end of the driveway that some guests without experience driving on gravel mountain roads may prefer to avoid by parking just above it. There is an easy-to-use concrete pad parking area visible in the listings aerial photographs that guests are welcome to use.

With two king bedrooms, a queen room with private deck, a bunk room, and a music-inspired loft, it’s perfect for families, friends, and peaceful mountain getaways.

Living Areas

Step into an open-concept great room with soaring wood ceilings, a wall of windows, and the inviting glow of a gas fireplace. Plush leather seating makes this the perfect gathering spot for game nights, movie marathons, or slow mornings with coffee and the soothing sounds of the creek.

Kitchen & Dining

The fully stocked kitchen is designed for easy, enjoyable meals—from big breakfasts before a day outdoors to wine-and-charcuterie evenings back at the cabin. Granite countertops, modern appliances, and generous prep space make cooking a pleasure.

The adjacent dining area offers peaceful creek views and classic cabin charm. Whether you’re sharing a home-cooked meal or enjoying takeout from a local favorite, the creek provides the perfect backdrop.

Bedrooms & Baths

The main-level king suite is a peaceful retreat featuring its own gas fireplace and an en suite bath with a walk-in shower and jetted soaking tub.

Upstairs, a second king bedroom offers a cozy seating area, while the queen bedroom opens to a private deck. These rooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

The loft is a creative escape for music lovers, complete with a turntable, record collection, electric keyboard, and guitar—an inspiring spot to unwind or create.

On the lower level, a fun bunk room gives kids (or kids-at-heart) their own space, along with a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Every guest will find a comfortable place to relax and recharge.

Outdoor Amenities

Outdoor living is the highlight at Strings & Streams. Start your day on the expansive deck overlooking the rushing creek, or end it soaking in the private hot tub under the stars.

With direct access to Mountaintown Creek—famous for trout fishing—you can cast a line, dip your feet in the water, or simply enjoy the serenity. Grill dinner, gather around the fire pit, or roast s’mores and soak in the mountain atmosphere.

The cabin also includes a washer and dryer, multiple smart TVs, and Wi-Fi to keep your stay comfortable and convenient. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed for a relaxing getaway.

Located in Coosawattee River Resort, this cabin is surrounded by towering trees, winding creeks, and abundant wildlife. Enjoy walking trails and the peaceful sounds of nature right outside your door.
