The stay was okay, it was clean and we had a lot of freedom. The picture looks better than what it actually was, the blinds were broken in all the rooms

I would absolutely never book this property. I took a chance on a place with zero ratings, thinking the listing was new to Vrbo. No, it is because the host is unresponsive and the property is unclean.I booked this property for a small group for my wedding weekend, fast forward a few weeks, have not heard anything from the host with check in instructions. I message him the day of asking for check in instructions and all he gives is a code for the door and doesn’t tell you where the door is or where to park. Area is sketchy. Description says it’s on the fourth floor, it wasn’t. Elevator has a note to use at your own risk because it has not been inspected recently.The building was disgusting. It was dirty and there was a used condom on the floor. The whole building and Vrbo smelt badly of cigarettes and my mother-in-law is allergic.The accommodations were not as described- there were not double beds in each room (one had a twin bed) and we knew that we could not stay there given the dirtiness and cigarette smell. Also, doors were broken in and damaged. When reaching out to the host and Vrbo about our concerns, the host did NOT help at all. All he offered was a larger property for more money. When I responded to that message explaining that we already had to make other plans (also would never stay at one of his properties again), he did not answer. I never got my refund and he ruined my wedding weekend.
