We (family of 5) spent two relaxing weeks in this lovely home in late October/early November 2017. The house is very well equipped which made our holidays really easy. We often went to the Beach Park nearby using the bikes or the kayaks - all we needed (including life vests for the boys) was available. The pool was mostly closed at this time of the year (we used the hot tub instead), but we did enjoy using the tennis court (no fees - and nobody there, so it was mostly our court). Rackets and balls? All just in the garage ready for use. Going to the beaches - just grab the parasol and enjoy the white sun and the clear waters, e.g. at Siesta Key or Manasota Key! Cooking is a feast in this excellently equipped kitchen and this does include spices. Thus, all the little things you usually have to look (and pay) for in a vacation home are provided - no worries at all! Port Charlotte is conveniently located, so that we went to Tampa for a football game, visited Universal Studios in Orlando (check out the Hulk rollercoaster - still having flashbacks from looking down to the very first looping from front row), and joined alligator- and manatee-watching tours in the Everglades (with Naples as starting point). Dwight was a very generous and discrete host - always available when needed and never intrusive. All information needed is neatly presented in the folders in the house, so there is little help needed. Dwight did provide us with his marvelous fresh dark roasted Indian Monsooned Malabar coffee beans, and for the first time in the US we enjoyed really excellent coffee. He even gave us a second bag during our stay (and graciously ignored the chaos the boys had made). We had a most wonderful time in El Sol Naciente (which clearly was the best vacation home we have had ever). We will certainly be back if we should be in Florida again. Many thanks indeed to Dwight and Maria for hosting us!
