Enjoy a quick 3-minute morning walk to the Atlantic Ocean and sunset strolls along the Tolomato River just a few blocks away. Then head out for the evening at several popular waterfront restaurants/bars--all within a comfortable walking distance.
When you need to run errands or grab a bite, the Vilano Town Center is just a 5-minute drive, offering a grocery store, fishing pier, gas station, bait/ice shop, and a variety of restaurants with weekend live music.
Just across the bridge within a 10 minute drive, you’ll find the history & charm of old St. Augustine.
As the nation’s oldest city (founded in 1565), St. Augustine is known for it's cobblestone streets, coastal views, engaging historic tourist sights, as well as local shopping and a vibrant dining/music scene.

Make sure both sets of keys are returned to the kitchen counter. ($50 per set for lost keys)
Make sure all doors/windows are closed and locked upon leaving and return the thermostat to 76° when you check out.
Please have trash receptacles at the curb on Thursday night for pick-up on Friday morning. Then retrieve empty trash receptacles when empty or by Friday afternoin.

terriic location, great house with a delightful deck and imaginative landscaping. We cooked several meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a garlic press! Lydia communicated with us promptly and clearly. The beds are comfy, and the house was sparkling clean. The ocean beach is lovely and only a block away. Lydia provided beach chairs for us. We would definitely choose to stay here again. One of the nicest of the many VRBO's we've staying at.

Beautiful, serene home. Peaceful. A walk to the ocean or the river. All one needs to enjoy a stay in Florida. Wonderful accommodations. Room to Breath in nature and yet close to everything. Wraparound deck that showcased beautiful landscaping. Owner responsive and knowledgeable. There was a notebook with recommendations on restaurants and locations to visit. Comfortable, beautiful wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely incredible stay here in Vilano Beach, five stars all the way! The location is unbeatable. You’re literally just steps from the sand in one of the best stretches of beach, as well as the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway (Tolomato River.) It’s just a short drive to all the history, attractions, and charm of St. Augustine. The dining options are outstanding, with something for every taste just minutes away. The local seafood is especially exceptional – some of the best we’ve ever had was only a few blocks from the house. Lydia and Barry were phenomenal hosts. They provided clear, easy check-in instructions and were always responsive, attentive, and available whenever we had a question. Their guidebook was a fantastic resource, filled with excellent recommendations for restaurants, activities, and local tips that made our stay even better. You truly couldn’t ask for better hosts. This was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy everything the area has to offer. The property’s tagline in the listing says it perfectly: “St. Augustine’s best kept secret is Vilano Beach.” It couldn’t have been more true. Thank you, Lydia, and Barry, for sharing your beautiful Vilano Beach home with us. We had a wonderful stay and would return without hesitation. Highly, highly recommend!

My husband, Barry, and I are native Floridians who moved from Jacksonville to Vilano Beach 24 years ago. I'm a retired travel agent with PGA Tour and Barry is a touring musician and currently is the bassist with Southern Rockers, 38 Special. barrydunaway.com
When time allows, we love to spend time in our garden, and walk our 2 Jack Russell Terriers on the beach. Reading, traveling and meeting new friends are also top of our list.
You know, a good book and a walk on the beach will cure just about any ailment...!

When we became interested in moving to the beach from Jacksonville, we decided on the Vilano area because everyone is always so happy here. We'd drive through looking at property and people would be out walking their dogs or going to the beach, etc., and everyone was SMILING!! Yup. Nobody seemed stuck up or in a hurry-- completely the laid-back comfortable lifestyle. That's the first thing I noticed here.
