The little blue cottage on New York Ave was an excellent spot for our family getaway to Cape May. The location was better than expected, and not only was the walk to the beach short, it was incredibly beautiful and charming. The house is clean well maintained and just a lovely spot to come home to after a day at the beach.

Overall, the place was a perfect fit for us. The only concern was when we placed any type of food on the counter in the kitchen ants were everywhere. That was the only issue. We really enjoyed our stay.

First, the good. The property is in a residential neighborhood close enough to the beach with driveway and street parking. The pictures properly reflect the house. While the house is spotless, there is a problem with ants in the kitchen even without any exposed food. Now for the bad. The listing clearly stated that linens and towels are included in the rental. Nevertheless, about a month and a half before our stay at this property, we were contacted by the management company and were advised that as of September 1st the property owners were no longer providing linens and towels for our stay. We pushed back, reminding the management company that we have a contract, which states that they have to provide linens and towels. Once we pushed back, they offered to subsidize the cost of our having to provide our own bedding and towels by giving us 100. We were unable to come to terms on the appropriate amount for this inconvenience and the owners agreed to honor the contract. In addition, we were not provided with any starter toilet paper. Also, while we are asked to clean the house before we leave and take out garbage, no garbage bags are provided. This was an unfortunate inconvenience and impacted our experience. The management of this house could benefit from some adjustments.
