Experience the charming town of Salvo in this 3-bedroom pet friendly house. The Turtles Nest is virtually brand new home. It is our special place and we are happy to share with you and your family and friends. The three bedrooms include 1) a king bed 2) a queen bed and 3) a bunk bed with double sized mattresses and a twin bed trundle, perfect for families or groups. Guests can relax in the spacious living room with a large farm table for dining and two futons for extra sleeping accommodations. There are two fully equipped bathrooms with soap, shampoo and toilet paper, bath, hand and face towels. We even supple beach towels to help with your packing. We even include thoughtful touches like board games, all of the ingredients for smores to use in the backyard firepit and recommendations for restaurants and local activities. Your stay will be enjoyable no matter the season. The beach is just 2 blocks away! Whether you’re unwinding after a day on the beach or gathering for a meal, this home offers a welcoming space to make lasting memories. Salvo is a wonderful, quiet spot on the Outer Banks.

We had an amazing stay! This was a perfect place for our family vacation; the beach was only a short walk away and peaceful. The host was wonderful to communicate with and always responded quickly. I would definitely recommend it to others.

The house was newly updated, so much so that the dryer hadn’t even been installed yet! But Peggy was extremely responsive both before and during our trip, helping us make sure we enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed lots of time on the front porch, appreciated the size of the bedrooms and bathrooms, and the short and easy walk to the beach. We have two dogs we were happy to have on the trip with us. They enjoyed the grass on the front yard and the quiet and welcoming neighborhood for walks. The kitchen has almost everything you need to make any meal and there is a grill under the house and a fire pit in the backyard. We arrived after a storm, so bug spray was necessary to ward off mosquitoes. The house is in a great location that makes it easy enough to get to shopping and activities, but quiet in the mornings and evenings. The beach was never crowded and as easy 10 min min walk. I cannot stress how pleasant Peggy was and how willing she was to make sure we had the best possible stay in Turtle’s Nest!

Wonderful experience at Turtles Nest. Perfect size for our family trip. We had 4 adults, 7 kids and 2 dogs. 2 adults and the dogs slept in our campervan in the driveway, but everyone else stayed inside comfortably. House had everything we needed kitchen wise. AC was nice and cold. Washer/dryer worked great. Showers had great pressure and hot water. House/furniture was clean and comfortable. Enough seating for everyone.Beach is a short walk to the end of the road. Easy. Big huge open beach. Uncrowded. We had other family in Avon and Frisco and this location was definitely the best. Close to everything. Salvo day area was less than 2 miles and the Waves market is right around the corner with great food and quick grocery stops.Host was top notch on expectations and communication. Would absolutely stay here again if we come back!!*bring TP, soap, trash bags and dishwasher tabs*also, no 30amp hookup

The perfect and much overdue getaway! Peggy is a wonderful host and very thoughtful. Thank you for the s’mores! Not too far of a walk to reach the beach. Just a beautiful place to be. And pet friendly made it even better!

My family had an amazing week in the turtle nest. This house was perfect for us with plenty of room and a short walk to the beach. This was our first trip to the outer banks and will definitely be returning.

I have spent over 40 years hosting and planning weddings and other special events - organizing everything from food, to music to floral arrangements. I've sold my large bed and breakfast/venue and now enjoy sharing The Turtles Nest so that others can make fond memories at the beach. I built the home for my children and grandchildren, but also love the thought that others can enjoy it. It doesn't have to be a "special occasion" - family and friends make even simple moments special.

Salvo is a charming town on Hatteras Island and almost the same driving time from the mainland as Corolla or Duck. It can be a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle, but you can drive just a little bit for mini-golf and movies if you like. I prefer to spend time playing on the beach, board games in the evening and sharing stories and roasting marshmallows around the backyard firepit after dinner.

The house is virtually brand new - beautifully equipped with all that you need in the kitchen, beach towels and convenient laundry facilities. It is not an 11 bedroom mansion with an elevator. Rather, it is a charming retreat to spend with your closes family and friends.
