Serene Garden Craftsman w/ Hot Tub • Office + Lounge
Warm and welcoming California Craftsman brown shingle home in a quiet, friendly residential neighborhood.
This large three bedroom home is designed to connect with its natural surroundings, filled with windows and French doors leading to several patios, decks and outdoor relaxing spaces. There are two bedrooms and the large office that can double as a bedroom with a queen size sofa bed.
The large peaceful garden has several mature fruit trees, a pond, and a hot tub.
The downstairs common area includes a well-stocked kitchen with a 6 burner gas range, a large dining room, living room with 65` smart TV (e.g. HULU, Netflix, Amazon, AppleTV, HBO Max, etc.), laundry room and bathroom.
There is a large office with a beautiful fireplace, mini kitchen with a mini fridge, microwave and sink. There is a pull out Queen size sofa bed. If you have 6 people staying, two will be sleeping on the sofa bed. The office is great if you have meetings and need to close the door for privacy, there is also an outside sitting area and steps that lead to the backyard.
Just outside of the office is a full bathroom with a bathtub and shower.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with a full bathroom in each bedroom. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and the second bedroom has a Full size bed.
The kitchen has everything you need for a full meal with the gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave.
The hot tub in the backyard is perfect for some nice downtime to enjoy the beautiful California weather. The backyard is not to be missed as there are several outdoor seating areas.
One parking space is available in the driveway. There is plenty of open street parking in the area if you have more than one vehicle. There is an EV hybrid charger available.
All guests are required to sign a rental agreement and follow the House Rules. We truly appreciate your understanding—this added step helps protect our home, especially after a few past experiences with guests that resulted in lost time and unexpected costs.
Guests have access to the entire home, there will be a closet that will be locked in the house.
I have a property management company that is available for any questions or emergencies.
Lower Crocker Highlands offers the best of both worlds for visitors: a quiet, leafy, residential feel with tree-lined streets and friendly neighbors, just minutes from Oakland’s most vibrant spots. Guests love being able to walk to Grand Avenue, Lakeshore, and Lake Merritt for food, coffee, and recreation, then return to a calm, safe-feeling neighborhood at the end of the day. It’s an ideal base if you want easy access to San Francisco and the East Bay without staying in a noisy or overly busy area.
We are blocks from Grand Lake shops, theater, restaurants and other entertainment, including Lake Merritt and the best Saturday Farmers` Market in the area.
We are centrally located with highway access to all Bay Area cities (20 minutes from San Francisco, 15 minutes from Berkeley) and accessible public transportation. There is ample street parking, but a car isn’t needed unless you want to explore the surrounding area. Marin County with its Pacific coastline, the East Bay hills (e.g. hiking, biking, running, boating), Napa Valley are all close by.
Easy Public Transit Access:
Several convenient bus lines are just a short walk from the house. The AC Transit P Line (about a 6–8 minute walk) offers direct service to downtown San Francisco and the Salesforce Transit Center. The AC Transit NL (NightLine) (about a 7–9 minute walk) provides late-night service to SF. For getting around the East Bay, AC Transit Line 12 (about a 4–6 minute walk) connects to Jack London Square, Uptown Oakland, and Alameda, while Line 33 (about a 5–7 minute walk) is great for Lake Merritt, Piedmont, and Montclair connections.:

﹡No smoking of any kind is permitted anywhere on the premises (go to the front curb outside or at least 15 feet from any dwelling).
﹡The property shall not be used by more than the number of adults and children listed in your reservation.
﹡No pets allowed (if you have a service animal, we would like to know as we have pet allergies)
﹡Conserve water, California is currently in a drought
﹡No parties or events of any kind are allowed here

﹡Recycle & Compost if there are receptacles in the unit
﹡Turn off lights, TV, heater, & stove when not in use
﹡During your stay of 30 days or more if utilities go over $150 you will be requested to pay the difference if it is excessive. You can avoid high charges by turning off lights, heaters, electronics and the stove when not in use. During the winter, we wear layers of clothing to avoid high electric bills.
﹡Please consume or take all leftover food and do not leave extras out of the fridge. Extra food beckons little critters and bugs!
﹡No commercial photography or filming is permitted on the property.
﹡Please only deposit toilet paper in the toilets please, we have small pipes (no baby/adult wipes, floss, tampons, etc...should be flushed down the toilet)
﹡Renter is liable for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy.
﹡A late check-out fee will be applied for check-outs as this will affect our cleaning team and following guests.

* No guns, firearms or any weapons allowed
* Bookings 30+ nights a lease is required to be signed
