Located within walking distance of Sea Glass Beach, the retreat also offers optional experiential moments that reflect the natural beauty and spiritual rhythm of Vieques. The island itself becomes part of the healing journey.
This space is for women who sense the need to pause, heal, and reflect on what they are carrying and what they are called to leave behind. Come and see what the Lord desires to restore, reveal, and renew.
Disclaimer: This House is a spiritual space, the retreat is for women seeking a quiet, intentional space designed for reflection and healing. It is not suitable for parties, nightlife-centered travel, or romantic getaways. This house honors Luke 5:16 which states, "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
This home exists because God drew me to Vieques. I came from Virginia in a season of my own healing, led to the quiet sands, the wild horses, and the unhurried rhythm of the island. Here, I learned to listen again, to sit with God without performance or noise, and to rediscover who I was beneath the weight I carried. The healing I received on these shores was never meant to be held, it was meant to be shared. House of the Yellow Butterflies is my way of passing on the gift God gave me: a sacred, quiet place where women can pause, heal, and meet Him for themselves.

I didn’t choose this neighborhood—it chose me. Isabel II is a quaint, walkable part of Vieques where life moves at a gentler pace and community still matters. From the house, you can stroll to the beach, wander through the town square, and experience the everyday rhythm of island life. What I love most is the balance: quiet enough for rest and reflection, yet close enough to feel connected rather than isolated. It’s a place where the sea, the streets, and the people all invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.
