Very clean and spacious for 4 women on an extended weekend getaway. Excellent location downtown with really good views of the bay. Easy walking to so many fun restaurants and shops. A fun hike out to Artists Point.

Excellent location in the center of town steps away from Lake Superior and within 1-2 blocks of all the major restaurants, bars, and shops. We loved having this central location as a base for exploring town and Artist's Point. The space was wonderful for a family of 5, extremely clean, modern, and welcoming. The bakery downstairs is the perfect place to start the morning. Be aware that proximity to the lake equals proximity to seagulls - their prolific artwork covers most roofs and cars parked along the shore.

The location of this home can’t be beat. In the heart of Grand Marais we were able to walk around town easily as well as drive to many of the beautiful sites nearby. Our grandsons spent what felt like hours skipping rocks in the bay across the street and within view from the deck. Watching the fireworks from the house was awesome! I would recommend this home to anyone wanting to experience Grand Marais and the North Shore. Oh and the bakery downstairs is amazing and the “icing on the cake”!

The place worked really well for the 4 of us, wanting to stay right in town for this trip. The living and kitchen areas were spacious with lots of light and we enjoyed the balcony with a view of the Grand Marais harbor to one side. The hosts really pay attention to detail, with kitchen tools, etc., although with so many good places to eat within walking distance, we didn’t do much cooking. (An added bonus was watching the 3 fluffy young gull chicks nesting on the flat roof next door.)

Beautiful views from many windows in this spotless home. We loved the location close to shopping and hiking! So great to see Lake Superior from the deck.

We loved staying here! This was the perfect apartment and location to explore Grand Marais and the North Shore. The new apartment was modern, roomy and comfortable with plenty of space to hang out. Most of our time was spent in town or out hiking. This location was great for walking anywhere in Grand Marais. We will say, there are plenty of birds that make their home on the roof, so we just enjoyed their conversations. Our host had great communication and gave great tips for us. Everything we tried at the bakery was delicious. We highly recommend the ginger cookies and the coffee. Next time we are in town, we will definitely look to stay here again.
