Almost Heaven lives up to its name

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay! We had a great time connecting with our friends and everyone had privacy. I have to say we are pretty picky about sheets and cleanliness. It was really clean and the sheets and towels were soft. Not sandpaper like I have experienced at other places. I would definitely stay here again!

This house was a glorious blessing to all of us!!! It has so many amenities that if the weather is bad or you do not feel like going out you can swim, hit the hot tub, relax in the sauna, watch a movie in the theater room or rock in the rockers by the fireplace and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. The adults and kiddos loved playing in the game room and we were able to have food delivered and fit the whole family around the table. It was well worth it!!! Thank YOU 365

The only complaint is that we had a large black bear that appeared two of the three days we were there. The bear came behind our house, sat beside our deck, and then lumbered across the street, sniffed all cars and disappeared behind the house across our street. Bear repeated the next day. Limited our children and dog's outside activities. We were nervous about the outside hot tub and sauna because they are located on the bottom deck, and could accessed by said bear.

Seeing a black bear can certainly be an exciting—and sometimes unexpected—part of visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. While bear sightings are not uncommon in the area, we understand that having one visit so close can bring out the protective instincts, especially when traveling with children and pets. We always encourage guests to remain wildlife-aware, keep a safe distance, and avoid leaving food or scented items outdoors. Fortunately, black bears are typically interested in easy food sources rather than people, but we encourage all guests to be aware of their surroundings and to give bears the right of way. Most often, they are simply passing through and do not linger for long. Thank you again for your feedback. We certainly understand wildlife encounters are not everyone's favorite part of the mountain experience. Bear activity tends to be lower during the late fall and winter months, making those seasons a great option for guests who would like to enjoy the beauty of the mountains with a reduced chance of wildlife encounters. We hope your next visit exceeds all expectations!
