Full of sunlight and breezy living space, this recently updated cottage is perfect for your getaway to the Forgotten Coast. This home offers two private screened porches where you can relax after days spent enjoying the Florida sunshine. The open floor plan and the well-appointed kitchen will make you feel right at home, and the master suite on the main floor offers privacy and convenience. Within this gated community, you'll also have shared access to swimming pools, hot tubs, and grilling areas for hours of outdoor fun!



What's nearby:

This home is about 500 yards from an access point to some of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches on the coast. Here you can enjoy shelling, shore fishing, snorkeling, and much more. Only three miles away is downtown Port Saint Joe, which offers many great options for local shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Weekend Getaway

Nice property and plenty of room. I would stay again. Port st joe is a quite quaint little beach town and this was a very enjoyable stay.

Peaceful Getaway

The community was very friendly. Unit was excellent and as described. The hot tub was further away than expected, but we enjoyed the walk. Close to the beach and to downtown Port St Joe. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely book the unit again.

Nice little cottage.

The cottage is tucked away in the back right corner of the property. There is a small pool across the circular parking lot. The bay/beach is a short walk away, with more beaches without the cape a short walk/bike/drive. A wonderful place. This is our third trip to Barefoot Cottages, and we have loved it every time.

Beautiful right around the corner!

Barefoot Cottage was perfect for our group of 4! My husband and I had a room and bathroom downstairs to ourselves and my daughter and her friend had the whole upstairs. Everything was clean and in good working! 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was very nice too! Beautiful beaches right across the street. We traveled around from Mexico Beach, Windmark Cape San Blas, and St George Island all not very far from the property! Several great places to eat. The property is quiet and well maintained! We will definitely stay again in future visits.

Thanksgiving trip

Loved the house. Only problem was that I feel the house might have sat a little while between cleaning. A bit musty inside when we got there. But I opened up the windows to air out and it was fine. But the dryer wouldn’t stay on. So I had to go somewhere else to wash and dry our clothes. But other than those things it was a great house to stay at with my family! I would definitely rent it again in the future!

Dishwasher condition was terrible and stunk. Did not use it and hand washed dishes. It should be swapped out with new one. Bathroom door drags across vinyl plank floor and is damaging the floor. House is surrounded by swamp water and terrible mosquitos.

Weeklong getaway from the snow

We felt very comfortable in this home for a week long stay. There is a small pool in the same circle drive as this house, and a larger pool and hot tub about a 5 minute walk away, within the gated complex. The house is impeccably decorated. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, glassware and cooking utensils. This is a charming area to visit, although some parts are still recovering from hurricane Michael.

Great home!

This beach house was in excellent shape, well decorated and very enjoyable for our group of friends! We would have liked it to be a little closer to the beach, but there is a pool onsite. We loved the screened in patios and the easy check in and out process. We really enjoyed the comfort of the beach house and the open living room and kitchen design! Awesome stay! Thank you! 😃
