The Space:

This Port St. Joe vacation rental offers resort-like amenities such as a hot tub, a fitness room, playgrounds, and 18-acres of nature trails.



As one of the modern-yet-cozy Barefoot Cottages, this house is one mile from Windmark Beach for sugary sands, fabulous views, and shops and restaurants. Take day trips to Panama City Beach or Destin, and return home to your private getaway.



The bright and airy interior affords many relaxing days and nights. Enjoy your morning o.j. on the screened-in porch, then take it indoors to the hardwood floors and soft couches of the living room with cable TV and a DVD player for movie nights.



The tiled breakfast bar and six-seat dining table are great places to share meals made in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher. This three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home sleeps nine, with king beds offered in two of the bedrooms, and two twin beds in the third. Other amenities include a washer/dryer and WiFi.



Days in Port St. Joe are laid back, and provide the opportunity for fishing trips in salt or fresh water, scalloping expeditions in season, and beachcombing opportunities daily. There is a local Tiki bar for evening cocktails, and a nearby raw bar serves up fresh oysters and local bands. Take some time to go snorkeling at St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, to see the lighthouse at Cape San Blas, or to rent jet skis or go parasailing at Mexico Beach. If you prefer to keep things close to home, revel in the hot tub at the cottage community, go for a nature walk on the 18 acres of greenways, then grill up some fresh fish at the grilling station while the kids play on the playground.

Very nice home

Property was well stocked with nice furniture and accessories. It’s just a short walk to the pool area. Very clean and spacious.The only issue was the twin beds are not made for adult bodies.

Quiet and close to the beaches

We enjoyed being a close drive to the beach. The pool and hot tub was great. The unit was perfect for the three of us. We will definitely stay again.

Great family getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Barefoot Cottages. The house was clean, with adequate room to accommodate our party. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. We will definitely choose Barefoot Cottages again when we return to Port St. Joe.

Great place for the price!!!

Stay was wonderful! Close to all of my favorite places! Beaches were a minute away, cape San blas just a short drive, and my favorite places to eat! Always a wonderful lace to visit and the neighbor hood so very very quiet. So I was very pleased.

We love these cottages and have been renting them for several years! Unfortunately we have noticed that they are starting to show their age and just need a little TLC! Overall we were happy with our stay and will rent again!

Barefoot Bliss

The property was amazing and clean and the location was ideal for taking in the sights and sounds of this cute little beach town, not to mention how close it is to the beach itself! Very clean and well furnished with amenities everyone looks for! I’ll certainly use Vacasa and Barefoot Cottages again!

Easy and laid back environment

Clean property, stocked with essentials. Complex was clean. Nice pool andhot tub ....less than a mile from a variety of beaches..we got lost looking for cottage but it was easy to locate after we noticed the signs. Will visit again and recommend!

Nice Beach Get Away

Very nice cottage. Well kept. Kitchen was well furnished. Upstairs TV didn’t want to connect to Direct TV. Knives could stand to be sharpened. Overall very happy. Would stay there again.

Nice subdivision with good beaches a short driving distance away

We enjoyed a 4 day weekend at this cottage. It's a cute, newer subdivision in the Port St. Joe area. There were a few issues with the place, but it wasn't big enough to call the rental agency (TV takes at least 5 minutes to turn on, no cable to master bedroom TV, Master bathtub drains very slowly). Downtown Port St. Joe is about 5 minutes away with some decent shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the beach at Cape San Blas and Windmark.

A little disappointed

Our place was pretty far back so we had a lot of stuff to carry and pull in wagons. Also had to move our boat cause of length. So probably want stay there again. Was also very hard to unlock

The house was very nice and we were comfortable. It was a little frustrating that we were never able to get the DVD player to work in the living room. The dryer had a terrible squeal that got worse each day! Other than that we very much enjoyed our time there.

Cozy Cottage

Barefoot Cottages is a quaint development in the quiet town of Port St. Joe. The cottages are cute as is the development. It seems to be full of many retirees, so if you are a "loud" group, this is not the place for you. They have a nice pool area and hot tub. There are many public beach accesses. The fun old port town Apalachiocola is about a twenty minute drive with great restaurants and live music at The Bowery. This unit shows a little wear and tear but we would definitely go back! We love the area. It feels like 1950's Florida...for the past thirty years we have vacationed on 30A so this was a nice quiet change.

Great stay !

We love barefoot cottages we come about twice a year . The house was very clean and had everything we needed . Location of the house was great it’s in a quiet spot but still very close to the large pool . Everyone there is very friendly . Short drive to town . The only issue we had was the base board of the king room was broken , but thankfully my husband is handy and fixed it . But management was made known of it and will be fixing it that I’m aware of . We also have a 21ft boat that we park there and they have a washing station which is great ! We love the fishing here and the islands we get to anchor at its absolutely beautiful !

Great Cottage community

We love Barefoot Cottages! C54 is tastefully decorated and accurately represented online. Would like to note the outside light over the entry way is out, I emailed prior to our arrival asking this to be addressed since there are snakes in the area. We saw snakes during our visit. Three harmless black snakes and one pigmy rattlesnake. So please watch your step! Only other remark is the upstairs of the cottage doesn’t cool. The temp of bedrooms (Upstairs) were too warm during our five night stay.

Great House But A Little Unclear Details

The house was great and very clean, however it wasn't very clear what items would be available. I appreciate that most of the check- in process was automated, however the communication was a little unclear. As other reviewers have mentioned, I can't help but feel if I actually required anything, that I wouldn't receive adequate service. Overall, it was a very good stay, but I feel like some details could be explicitly spelled out in the listing details or in the automated email correspondence.

Dog problems

This is not the place for people without dogs. I rented a property that doesn’t allow pets, but owners allowed their dogs to poop and hike their legs everywhere including walkways, even directly in front of our screened porch where we were trying to relax. The worst was dogs pooping and urinating right by the community grills where we were cooking. Two dogs without leashes ran up to my small grandson growling. My husband picked him up and yelled at the dogs to get them to leave. There are no signs with restrictions for pets.
