Mother Daughter Vacation 2025

The condo is just as it is pictured on VRBO. Very clean and easy to check in and it is also in a gated community which I really liked. Communication was great as far as check-in and check-out. Very simple process for a condo with a beautiful view.

Loved it

Clean and spacious condo, comfortable, pictures accurately depict this listing. Very close to plenty of restaurants and bars. On the beach and it’s a short walk/easily accessible. Would stay here again.

Perfect location!

This property was so cute and perfect for our stay. I came down with my boyfriend, mom, and sister to celebrate my birthday. There was plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. We loved the back patio and spent a large amount of time sitting out there just watching the waves! The complimentary beach chairs were such a perk and we really enjoyed the pool as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Great beachfront view

Great beachfront view on the 4th floor. Located over the pool so you do see/hear the pool fun during the day.Property is very clean & gated.Very quiet ( minus the pool hours) Not too far from restaurants and attractions-did have road construction on the main strip(not property road) Inside was nice-we ate out everyday so didn’t cook or use kitchen appl other than coffee pot( bring your own filters/coffee/suger/crm)W/D in unit was super small,but better than nothing.Beds where ok- bunks good for smaller kids-not tall teenagers.Couch/chairs need a good cleaning.Overall nice place!

Great Stay

Booked this property for a family vacation and it was in a Great location and did not disappoint . The beach was just a short walk downstairs with two lounge chairs and an umbrella included with the stay. There were a lot of great options close by for food. The property could use a few cosmetic touch ups with paint and the bar stools had some stains on the cushion but the easy access to the beach and pool more than made up for any slight cosmetic issues. Would definitely stay at 4K island echos again. Highly recommend

Book for the View

I wanted a stay with an amazing oceanfront view and this delivered! This unit is perfect, it is steps from the walkway to the beach and directly above the pool. While the furnishings and fixtures are getting a bit worn, it is clean and comfy. I loved watching and listening to the surf from the balcony. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Clean and comfortable stay!

This is a great location on a beautiful beach. The property needs some TLC but it was clean. The kitchen needs to be restocked with better pots, pans, and tableware. Lots of chipped mugs and none of the pans had lids to fit.

Always great!

Perfect size for a small family or two couples. The location is perfect, close enough to Destin & touristy things, but far enough away that it’s not too busy on the beach. Island Echos is clean & well maintained. The unit was clean & just what we needed. We wish early check-in would have been available, as we were there & the unit did not have anyone in it, but was told the code wouldn’t switch over until 4 exactly. Communication is great though with host ( Vacasa).

We will be back!

Super impressed with the rental! Will definitely be back again. Everything was perfect 👌🏻 We did have an issue with our coffee pot and after texting them about it we immediately received a brand new coffee maker! Wow! We weren’t expecting that.

Location!

We loved the location of the condo. Only downfall was we felt like it could of been cleaner. There were chip crumbs in one of the beds, the floors were dirty (stained socks), the glass dinning room table had place mats that was covering food smears and finger prints. Access to the beach was easy to use and the beach was clean and beautiful! Short drive from the pier and shopping. We didn’t moline driving to the pier. I recommend visiting John Beasley Park when you visit. Beautiful beach and nice shells! We saw a stingray near the beach there also! All in all would take my family there again.

This property was clean, but there is definitely some wear & tear that needs to be addressed. There was a stagnant smell in the room that stays with your belongings. It served its purpose, but we will not be back.

Great location and beautiful view

We had a wonderful stay. Loved the location, close enough to several activities but yet far enough, that it was quiet. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and beach service. Overall, the condo was clean. Does need a few updates the master bathroom has paint chipping off cupboards and ceiling. The couch has a few stains. Only real inconvenience was the construction taking place, and not having access to the trash shoots. The welcome note indicated that the owner left wine, but there wasn't any.

Perfect spot for our family

All good things to say about 4-K. It was a peaceful stay and the property was kept in great shape. The neighbors were friendly and the room fit our family perfectly. We loved watching the sunset from the beach or our balcony, and the beach service worker was super friendly and helpful too. Would recommend this place to friends and will stay again. Note- kitchen had lots of what you need and some extras (instant pot) but could use a new skillet (maybe stainless or cast iron) as the teflon skillets are a little warped and cook unevenly. Not a huge deal but a simple fix. This wouldn’t stop me at all from staying here again right away!

Perfect location

The place is decorated beautiful and the view is perfect. So easy to check in and out and you truly have an easy access to the beach. We went in October and still got the luxury of two chairs and One umbrella Included with the price of the rental. Just walk down to the beach and your chairs await you. You will not be disappointed with watching the sunset from the balcony or the beach. The only complaint was the cleanliness of the unit. The floors and beds were cleaned but the bathrooms, kitchen and all switches and handles needed to be Cleaned before we could feel comfortable staying. The cleaning crews did not do a sanitized cleaning at all. Luckily we brought wipes and lysol with us. With the new way of traveling with Covid this really shouldn’t be an issue since all renters pay a cleaning fee. We would stay again even though we had to clean when we arrived and we paid a fee to be cleaned when we left .

Wonderful stay with minor feedback

Overall we loved our stay at Island Echos. It was a very nice unit, needing a little upkeep, but nothing that prevented us from enjoying ourselves. When we arrived, the entry codes were confusing and we couldn't reach anyone to help. I left a message with the property management and never heard back from them during our entire stay. Thankfully we kept trying until we figured out the code to get in. The location by the beach was fantastic, and just a short drive to all kinds of activities and restaurants. The unit itself was very comfortable, needs some minor repairs done (toilet handle, closet door broken, dresser drawer falls out when opening) but these were pretty minor to us and we still had so much fun. In our opinion the beds were pretty firm, but that's really a personal preference. We found the kitchen to be well-stocked with dishes and cookware, nothing missing that we noticed. We absolutely loved the umbrella and chair service on the beach, this was a great feature that allowed us to enjoy our beach time. We had a hard time locating the fitness room, and no where we could find described how to get to it. It's out in the building where property management resides. Also the pool was nice for when we wanted a break from the beach. There were grills on the side of the building but we didn't end up using those. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and would look to stay at Island Echos again, just recommend a few fixes to make the unit even better.

Awful stay

I really hate to leave a bad review and did discuss with management our litany of concerns. Vacasa did listen to our frustrations and resolve what they could. There is a strong odor women’s perfume. The smoke alarm didn’t work and chirped throughout our stay. Overall, our experience was so poor at this condo, we laughed when something else went wrong. Very dirty - the baseboards are dusty and the tile grout is gross. The master bed mattress is like sleeping on a cardboard box. The pillows provide no comfort or support. The bathrooms don’t have vents and bits of the popcorn ceiling are falling off. The toilets are tough to flush. It appears there have been many repairs done to the drywall or receptacles, as cheaply as they could possibly be done. The receptacle next to the tv in the master is not attached to the stud and nearly came out of the wall when our young unplugged a device. Smoking is clearly allowed as seen and smelled by renters smoking on the patios. The boardwalk is short and the pool is very nice (though no shade). View is amazing. The condo building is nice, so it’s unfortunate that this unit not as well maintained.
